Eaton/Childers ‘King Of The Ring’ Set For Tyler County Speedway

Saturday Night, June 25th the Tyler County Speedway will welcome the regions best crate late model racers to the ‘Bullring’ for the FASTRAK Late Model 15th Annual Eaton/Childers King of the Ring race. Always a special night at the Tyler County Speedway as we celebrate two of the speedways past royalty in Beecher Eaton and ‘Wild’ Bill Childers. A potent field of FASTRAK Late Models will be on hand to wage war in the $2,000 to win Invitational. Last season’s twin race format would see two first time winners at the ‘Bullring’ as Billy Beachler and Henry Hornsby III would both add their name to the Tyler County Speedway history books as the duo was crowned ‘King of the Ring’. AMRA Modified Track Sponsor Two Brothers Motorsports Steps Up Big for Remainder of 2016 Season
Current and longtime Tyler County Speedway sponsor, supporter and former racer Junior Nolan of Two Brothers Motorsports has generously stepped up to the plate once again. The driver earning the most points at Tyler County Speedway in the AMRA Modified division from this Saturday, June 25th thru the Season Championship will be awarded a new Two Brothers Shaw Chassis. Regular track points will be kept for each remaining AMRA Modified event with one exception as the Mega 100 weekend will feature show up points only. With stiff weekly fields in the AMRA Modified division being the norm so far in 2016, thanks to division sponsor Two Brothers Motorsports the competition at the ‘Bullring’ will continue to be the best in the region. Drivers who have picked up 2016 wins so far include Jacob Hawkins with two wins, followed by Jesse Wisecarver who scored the seasons first major modified win in the ‘Let it Ride 55’ and picking up solo wins so far include Bird Wilson, KC Burdette and Nick Corbitt.

22nd Annual Topless 50 Rescheduled as part of the Mega 100
After being hit by Mother nature twice back in May, the Hometown Racing Association has rescheduled the 22nd Annual Topless 50 for Late Models as part of the Mega 100 Weekend on Friday Night, July 8th. An already can’t miss weekend featuring three nights of the best modified racers in the country battling for $4k each night will now see two of the speedway’s favorite late model events as part of the mega weekend. Kicking off with a $1,000 to win Steel Block Late Model show presented by Kryptonite Race Cars on Thursday, July 7th, followed by the $3,000 to win Topless 50 on Friday, July 8th and the $5,000 to win 28th Annual Earl Hill Memorial on Saturday, July 9th will now make the Mega 100 a late model fans dream weekend.

Upcoming Events at the Bullring
Be sure to catch the next Night of Destruction as the Tyler County Speedway and Thomas Motorsports will present Kings of Karnage II as another evening of bent metal will thrill fans of all ages on Saturday Night, July 2nd. The Full Size and Compacts will be back for double Derbies and Figure 8’s once again and the youngsters will take their turn to be like Mom & Dad in the first ever ‘Power Wheels Derby’.

All setting the stage for Sunday, July 3rd’s first ever ‘Patriot 200’ a unique event highlighted by a ten division feature only fan friendly format, lineup based on qualifications with a heads up, 4, 6, or 8 inversion for each class, will start 26 cars in each division, if more will run double features and a giant Fourth of July Fireworks display will highlight intermission!

The $100,000 Mega-100 at Tyler County is on the Horizon!
(Mars, PA) The mountains of WV will rumble with three days of pure racing action at the 2nd annual Mega 100 at Tyler County Speedway on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, July 7-8-9. This massive $100,000 event features huge payoffs for the Super Late Models and the Renegades of Dirt Modifieds, and will also feature the Steel Block Late Models, FASTRAK Late Models, STARS Modlites, EDGE Hotmods, 4 Cylinders and MWRA Mini Wedges.

The Super Late Models will be racing for $10,000 possible to win. Friday’s 50 lap rescheduled Topless 50 will pay $3,000 to the winner with $300 for 20th. The 2016 ‘Earl Hill Memorial’ on Saturday will pay $5,000 to the winner and $400 for 20th for the 50 lap feature. If the same driver wins both races, they will win a $2,000 bonus. This year will include a full racing program on each night for the Super Late Models with heat races, consolations and feature. 20 cars are slated to start the feature, but if 32 cars are in attendance 22 cars will start with positions 21st + paying $300. Tim Dohm of Cross Lanes, WV won the 2015 Friday night even, while Jared Hawkins made a daring last-lap, last turn pass to win the $5,000 finale on Saturday.

The Renegades of Dirt Modifieds will race all three nights for $4,000 to win each night, totaling $12,000 to win. All three nights will feature a complete racing program with 30 lap features on Thursday and Friday and a 40 lap finale on Saturday. Saturday will also feature a $600 to win non-qualifiers race.
