(Middlebourne, WV) — Officials from the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour are excited to announce a deal has been reached between the Eastern United States premier modified touring series and weekly organization, AMRA. The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour has aligned with the American Motor Racing Association to offer complete continuity across the region within the modified division. The monumental agreement welcomes the opportunity for each to work together in growing the division in the region, the primary goal of both entities. The agreement allows racers of the AMRA to run within the tour for points and larger purses while also earning AMRA national points at AMRA sanctioned race tracks.

“For the Renegades of Dirt it allows racers the ease of competing without cost prohibitive changes, a crucial element of success” stated Watson. “Working together will benefit all involved as well as our prominent competitors and race tracks. Early in the off season we planned to make alterations that featured economic car changes but after a month of discussion with AMRA as well as several driver conversations we felt it in the divisions best interest to instead unify the division not try and change it” added Watson.

The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour will follow the American Motor Racing Association’s rulebook guidelines in full which also includes the national sanctions current rules which can be found here; RULES. In 2016 the Renegades of Dirt will be Hoosier only racing tires per sanction rules.

Although changes are being made the Renegades of Dirt greatly appreciates the support they’ve received over the years from American Racer, Lias Tire, Tye Twarog, and others. We want to thank them for all that they have done for us over the last four years to help aid in our growth.

Moving forward, area drivers will have the opportunity to compete in both touring and weekly points battles that award the AMRA national champion a $5,000 top prize with over $35,000 awarded to the organizations top thirty five. The Renegade tour will be sanctioned by AMRA for the first time as it heads into it’s fifth anniversary season set to compete in the immediate region approximately 12-13 times in 2016. Additionally, the “Home of the Renegades of Dirt”, Tyler County Speedway, will also join the growing list of AMRA modified race tracks for next season.

“I hope this excites the area and division to continue reaching new heights as it has over our last four seasons. I think for fans our events will be that much more exciting with an influx of AMRA locals ready to give the tour a shot” continued Watson. “I want to thank AMRA officials, Poskes Performance, Octane Race Products, and Hoosier Tire for their support and encouragement in our efforts to come together” concluded Watson.
