Ohio Valley Speedway Releases New Pure Stock Rules

An exciting new rules package has been released for Pure Stock teams and can be found on the track website, www.ohiovalleyspeedway.com. “We believe in this class and want nothing more than to see it succeed” said Wayne Mcpeek of the Ohio Valley Speedway. Stating that the recent decline in car counts has not affected the tracks resolve to make this class as strong as it ever was. “The new rules package will give cars that didn’t fit into the old rules a local Saturday night track to compete at”. Combining the Street Stock and the current Pure Stock rules have resulted in whole new revision of the class while trying to keep costs at a minimum. “We know there are still a lot of these cars in the area that are not being raced, we are hoping that with new rules we can offer these drivers a place to compete”.

Pure Stocks in the Ohio Valley area have seen a decline with race tracks being forced to drop the class all together. The Ohio Valley Speedway has stood behind these drivers and will continue to do so said Mcpeek. “It is our hope that the new rules package will create new interest in the class and reinforce to drivers that we are and will continue to support them”.

The Pure Stock class will be on the weekly schedule for 2015.
