(Middlebourne, WV) The curtain came down on the Tyler County Speedway’s 40th Anniversary Season on Friday Night in grand fashion as the ‘Bullring’ faithful were greeted to a season sendoff featuring specials in three divisions. It was a history making night for the EDGE Hotmod division as the rapidly growing division were showcased in their richest race to date paying a whopping $2,000 to the winner in the running of the Workin’ Man World Championship. Picking up the win was two time track champion of the division Chad Smith as the driver of the familiar black 10s cruised to the checkers ahead of Darren Clark and Mick Baker.

It was also the 13th edition of the prestigious Eaton/Childers King of the Ring for the FASTRAK Late Model division and featured Twin $1,500 to win main events for the FASTRAK Late Models. Etching their name into the record books of the Eaton/Childers King of the Ring were Pennsboro, WV’s Shawn Jett and Spelter, WV’s Derek Rogers who would both claim hard earned battles.

The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour would return to the ‘Bullring’ and this time the roofs were removed so fans could get a birds eye view as the open wheel warriors jockeyed around the ‘Bullring’. A stout field of 36 cars would hit the highbanks as Jacob Hawkins of Fairmont, WV piloting the Two Brothers Motorsports entry would lay claim to his second consecutive Renegade Mod Tour win at the Tyler County Speedway.

In the J&R Excavating Super Late Models presented by Midcap Land and Timber, making his first start of the season at the ‘Bullring’ it was Elkins, WV’s Charlie George notching his first win of the year in convincing fashion. Also picking up victories on the night were Jeff Fornash in the Modlite division, Bill Tennant in the 4 Cylinder main with Dalton Anderson earning the MWRA Mini Wedge main event.

The Hometown Racing Association would like to thank each and every racer, crews, sponsors and race fans for making the Tyler County Speedways 40th Anniversary season a successful and work has already begun to make the 2015 season at the ‘Bullring’ even bigger and better.
