(Waverly, Ohio) On the heels of a weekend that saw excellent car counts and exciting racing amongst all classes at the Atomic Speedway, track officials have all systems set on go as the track prepares for a holiday weekend Saturday night of racing. This Saturday’s September 3rd event is certain to give fans plenty of excitement throughout the night, as the event will see 6 classes in total do battle throughout the racing program, including the AMRA Modifieds and AMRA Sport Mods along with the popular 410 Sprints, 305 Sprints, Southern Ohio Compacts and the Enduro class.

While many often see the Labor Day weekend as a time to relax and enjoy the long weekend, the action is expected to only pick up at the Atomic Speedway, as drivers are battling for valuable track and AMRA points alike with the season reaching it’s final weeks. With many AMRA sanctioned facilities taking the weekend off in observance of Labor Day, Atomic will be a viable option for many AMRA competitors to seek a good run and gain valuable points which should only add to the car count and excitement. However, with any newcomers out of the picture, the AMRA Modified track points battle at Atomic has narrowed down to only a 5 point difference between leader Greggie Oliver and 2nd place Dave Jamison, which means this Saturday’s event could have a monumental impact upon their 2016 championship hopes. On the flipside, with the AMRA Sport Mods also slated to do battle, points leader Bob Crace will look to continue his dominance upon the Atomic point standings and lengthen his lead as the season nears it’s final weeks.

Regardless of class or points battles, this Saturday’s show at Atomic is expected to give fans and teams their share of excitement at the track dubbed the “nation’s fastest 3/8th mile oval.” The event is expected to draw a pit full of cars, as the show will range from fast and action packed 410 Sprint Cars to the always exciting AMRA Modifieds and AMRA Sport Mods and even a rare appearances by the Southern Ohio Compacts, 305 Sprints and Enduro class. No matter your favorite driver or class, this Saturday’s should have plenty of racing excitement paired with a beautiful forecast and the fun atmosphere enjoyed by so many at every Atomic Speedway event for a Saturday night to enjoy!

Pit Gates will open this Saturday at 2 PM followed by General Admission gates opening at 4 with cars hitting the track at 6:30 for the evenings Hot Lap session.
