After weeks of rain and an impending threat in the forecast, track personnel, fans and drivers would not let another week of racing get away from them. As drivers and fans from all over made their way to the hill, the track personnel did all they could to ensure they got the track ready for the night’s $1,200 to win Holmes Tire Late Model feature.

Starting off the night’s events were the JPR Auto and Tire mini wedges with Logan Duncan and Zoe Stafford each picking up a heat race win. With Duncan brining the field of 15 to the start of their ten lap feature event, he would jump out to the early lead as Stafford looked in. A battle for third between Karyssa Beagle and Donnie Danley would ensue as Duncan lengthened his lead. After a number of cautions, the green was back out and again it was Duncan to the lead and that is where he would remain, leading every lap and picking up his first feature win of the season. Second went to Zoe Stafford, third to Brayden Renfrew, fourth to Carson Hubbard and fifth to Reece Bollinger.

With a field of 26, it was “Flyin” Ryan Markham setting fast time in the Holmes Tire Late model division with a 15.269. Heat race winners were Ty Myers, Shane McLoughlin and “The Kamikaze Kid” Tyler Carpenter. Dash winner was Larry Bellman with the last chance race win going to Jeremy Misel.

Setting the pace for the $1,200 to win feature event was Bellman with Matt Irey on the outside. Jumping out to an early lead was Bellman, while a side by side battle for second ensued between Markham and Irey. A crossover by Markham off of two would give him the second spot as Bellman remained out front. Working his way through lap traffic, caution would come out, bunching the field back up. Back under green, Bellman would again take the top spot as the top five singled out with Carpenter taking fourth over Shane McLoughlin. Nevertheless, leading every lap and going on to pick up his first feature win and a $1,200 pay day was Larry Bellman. Rounding out the top five was Ryan Markahm, Matt Irey, Tyler Carpenter and Shane McLoughlin.

The John’s Custom Embroidery & Screen Printing Modifieds were next to roll onto the track with a field of 17. Setting fast time for the night was Brad Goff with a 16.535. Picking up heat race wins were “The Outlaw” Jesse Wisecarver and David Hittle with Denny Benjamin winning the dash.

Leading the field down the backstretch, it was Benjamin setting the pace with Goff on the outside. As the green dropped, Goff would take the lead but a caution would come out forcing the field to bunch back up. Back under green, Benjamin would get the run and take the lead. However, Goff would not give up easily as the two would battle it out side by side with Benjamin ultimately taking the top spot after contact between the two would send Goff to the tail. Meanwhile, working his way through the field, from his seventh place starting position, Wisecarver would work his way around Jimmy Smith to take over second. Caution would once again come out closing the gap Benjamin had over the field. With the green back out, Benjamin would jump to the front doing what he could to hold off Wisecarver. However, taking the lead on lap eight and never looking back, picking up yet another feature win for the season was “The Outlaw” Jesse Wisecarver followed by Denny Benjamin, Jimmy Smith, David Hittle and “Rockin” Robin Duston.

The Holmes Pest Control Street Stocks had a field of 24 with Bob Daugherty setting fast time with at 16.674. Brad Eagle, Paul Holmes, and David Potts each would pick up a heat race win with Bob Daugherty claiming the dash and the pole for the night’s feature event. Picking up the last chance race was Kevin Potts.

Coming to the start of their 15-lap feature, it was Mike Lonas who would take the early lead with Daugherty battling right back while Chase Alexander would make it a three way battle for the lead. Working his way around the other two and claiming the top spot was Daugherty as Lonas and Alexander would have contact going back and forth for second. However, troubles would send Alexander pitside during a caution. Once again under green, it was Bob Daugherty who would take the lead fending off Mike Lonas and picking up the feature win. Third went to Dustin Daugherty, fourth to David Potts and fifth to Chaz O’Del,

The Rigz Towing modlites had a field of 13. Heat race winners were Ryan Baker and Rory Reed setting them on the front row of the night’s feature event. Coming to the green, it was Baker out front with Clint Snyder and Rory Reed challenging one another for second. Meanwhile, working Kacy Campbell for fourth, from his tenth place starting position, was Keith Tish. With Tish taking fourth, troubles for both Reed and Snyder would allow Tish to take second and put a charge on Baker as they came to the checkered. However, with enough of a lead, it was Ryan Baker picking up his first win at the hill this season. Top five finishers were Keith Tish, Rory Reed, Kacy Campbell and Reece Shelton.

The Short Track Fire & Rescue Mini Stock division had a field of 19 with heat race wins going to Kevin Markey and Edwin Geary. With the field set, the green was out and it was Markey to the lead. Meanwhile, working his way up to second from his sixth place starting position was Michael Rose who would set his sights on Markey. However, as the laps dwindled and unable to surpass, it was Kevin Markey who would go on to claim his first feature win of the season with Michael Rose, Colton St. John, Zach Chaffin and Tyler Parsons rounding out the top five.

Rounding out the field, the Bugs-R-Gone trucks featured a single heat with the win going to Travis Winterringer. After inverting the field for the start of their feature event, it was Josey Lillibridge who would bring the field of five to the green. With Lillibridge out front, second place John Large would challenge her for the top spot, as Winterringer worked his way to third. Taking the lead going down the backstretch was Large, leaving Lillibridge and Winterringer to battle it out for second. Lap for lap, Winterringer would work the bumper of Lillibridge ultimately taking the spot. Nevertheless, going on to pick up the win was John Large followed by Winterringer, Lillibridge, Don Radcliff and Dwayne Powell.
