Ohio Valley Speedway Ready To Open 2016 Season

The Ohio Valley Speedway plans to kick off their 2016 season with the track’s season opening event on Saturday April 9th. The event which will mark the 58th year in existence for the Ohio Valley Speedway, will feature an evening of racing in all of the tracks regular classes. The venue which is located in Washington West Virginia, sits just minutes outside of Parkersburg West Virginia and provides fans with a convenient and exciting racing experience each Saturday night. The venue is a popular spot for both race teams and race fans each and every season, as the track is known for its high speeds and intense racing action on the 3/8th mile oval.

In what will be the track’s 12th season under the leadership of the McPeek and Vincent families, the Ohio Valley Speedway will continue to operate on Saturday nights and, currently plans to host races from April through the month of September. (Complete Schedule on OhioValleySpeedway.com) The track will continue to host racing under the AMRA banner in both the Late Models and Modified divisions, throughout the 2016 season. Also competing at the track will be the Pure Stock Class, FWD 4-Cylinders and the newly formed Steel Block Late Model class as well as the Mini Wedge division.

With a schedule full of unique and exciting events at “The Valley”, fans are sure to see another season jam packed of racing action. Highlighted by the $10,000 to win Jim Dunn Memorial on June 18th, the track will also play host to various events including the OVSCA 410 Sprint Cars, the popular Faster Pastor event and the 2nd Annual Gibby’s DTRN King Championship event.

The Ohio Valley Speedway will swing open their gates each Saturday at 4 PM and will start racing action at 7. General Admission will be $15 (Kids Under 10 Free G.A.) and Pit Passes will remain at $30. AMRA officials look forward to their continued relationship with the Ohio Valley Speedway and encourage fans to catch some racing at the Ohio Valley Speedway in 2016.
