FASTRAK Prepares For First Ever Hillbilly 100 Weekend

(Carnesville, Georgia) 8/29/15 – The next event for the FASTRAK Racing Series Southeast/Mid Ohio Valley/National Touring Division will be on Labor Day weekend 2015 with the closeout of summer and the big East Coast Rumble featuring over $55,000+ dollars on the line, this monster dirt extravaganza is not to miss to close out summer and approach quicker the “Road to Jamaica Tour” for the World Championship held at the end of September.

As part of the inaugural East Coast Rumble the competitors of the FASTRAK Racing Series will be a part of a history making event joining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in the longest running dirt late model race event in the United States, the 47th Running of the Hillbilly 100 weekend will be held at the 3/8th mile I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia nestled clear off the major interstate. The Hillbilly 100 weekend was created by veteran promoter Carl Short and for the 1st time since 2010 the FASTRAK brand will be a part of one of Short’s promotional race events. The last time the FASTRAK Racing Series was involved with Short was in October 2010 at the 30th Annual Dirt Track World Championship which saw Jonathan Davenport (current Lucas Oil series points leader) take the win at now the dormant West Virginia Motor Speedway.

The Moonshine 50 slated for Saturday night September 5th will pay $5000 to the winner and will be the official kick-off to the East Coast Rumble events for the “best of the best” in Pro Late Models racing on dirt where nearly $50,000+ is up for grabs in three exciting races in three different states on three totally different racing surfaces and configurations. The Moonshine 50 will be also the first ever debut of the FASTRAK Racing Series National Tour or any touring event at the I-77 Raceway Park. The series was scheduled for a debut event in August 2013 but however weather forced cancellation of the events.

Kenny Newhouse, Dave Young, Carl Short and Stan Lester are all looking forward to this “monster event” for the “Nations First, Premier and the Most Prestigious Pro Late Model Series in the Country”. The event will also be a must watch show for not only the current FASTRAK Southeast Touring championships which is now tied between Ron Parker and David Smith but in addition for the FASTRAK National Tour championship where Walker Arthur is holding on to a slim one point margin to David Smith as well. There is expected to be a major turnout for this event so make sure you join us at I-77 Raceway Park for what is shaping up to be one of the best” pro late model races on dirt” in West Virginia.
