Turn Back The Clock Night Up Next At The Bullring

(Middlebourne, WV) June 11, 2014 As the summer season heads into high gear, the Tyler County Speedway will look to follow up last week’s very successful ‘Pack the Track Night’ with another fan friendly event billed as ‘Turn Back the Clock’ Night. In celebration of the speedway’s 40th Anniversary season, the Hometown Racing Association is turning back the clock by offering $1 hot dogs and .50 cent popcorn specials at the ‘Bullring Bistro’, while also inviting all fans born in 1974 FREE admission (ID required).
Also as part of last week’s awesome turnout, speedway promoter John Watson made the announcement to all fans in attendance, just bring back your armband from Pack the Track Night and get in for just $5 bucks! It’s all part of a season long effort to show fans that there’s never been a better time to be a Tyler County Speedway fan as we celebrate forty years of continuous operation.
The region’s most fan friendly ‘action packed’ race track continues to hold the line against rising costs by offering the areas lowest prices, while managing to provide fans of all ages the most exciting and diverse schedule in the Tri-State area.
“It’s just our way of saying thanks in these tough economic times and give our fans some breaks this season, while also showcasing the ‘Bullring’ experience to many new fans,” stated a Hometown Racing spokesman. “We take great pride in knowing Tyler County Speedway is an affordable place to have a great time with friends and family. We think it’s very important to give back to the fans who have continued to support the Tyler County Speedway over the years and help make it the coolest Saturday Night destination in the area.”

As we head into the mid-point of the season, several heated point battles are taking shape making the second half of the season quite intriguing. Forty year veteran of the ‘Bullring’ Butch McGill looks poised for yet another championship in the J&R Excavating Super Late Model division presented by Midcap Land and Timber. A very competitive Peoples Bank FASTRAK Late Model division has defending champ Kyle Thomas leading the pack hotly followed by Derek Rogers and Robbie Scott. Modified Hall of Famer Mike ‘Bird’ Wilson looks headed for another championship at Tyler County to add to his illustrious modified resume. A tight battle rages in the Modlite division with Brandon Fluharty leading Mitch Ward and Jeff Fornash. In the Hotmod division it’s defending title holder Chad Smith clinging to the top with a host of others close by. Donnie Wamsley and Bill Tennant are slugging it out in the FWD 4 Cylinder division while Kylie Cross and Brady Reed are in a dogfight for the JJK Mineral MWRA Mini Wedge crown. This Saturday Night will be crucial in determining 2014 track championships as its Mid-Season Championship with double points on the line.
