As part of the Mid-Season Championship, Hilltop Speedway welcomed the Outlaw 4-cylinders to the show with a total of 93 cars in the pits.

Making their first appearance at Hilltop Speedway this season was the Outlaw 4-Cylinders with twelve cars. Picking up heat race wins were Jeremy Krouskoupf and Kyle Moyer, placing them on the front row for the feature. As the field came to the green, it was Moyer who jumped out to the lead followed by Krouskoupf. Fending off challengers, Moyer was able to maintain top spot and go on to pick up the win. Second went to Jeremy Krouskoupf, third to Don Rufener III, fourth to Bradley Gebhart, and fifth to JR Dermer.

Again, this week, the mini wedges were able to run either the big track or the small track. Both tracks had eight youngsters ready to race. Heat race winners on the small track were Zoe Stafford and Corbin Adkins, while the big track heat winners were Karyssa Beagle and Destinie Bates.

With Stafford and Adkins bringing the field to the start on the small track, it was Stafford who took to an early lead, followed by Adkins who was able to make a successful pass for the lead in turn one and two. However, both Stafford and Adkins faced issues placing Nick Large to restart in the lead, as Braxton Wilson battled his way back up to second. Picking up the win was Nick Large followed by Braxton Wilson, Andrea Hensel, Kyla Dillon, and Zoe Stafford.

On the big track it was Justin Jessop taking the lead, with a battle for second between Bates and Beagle. As she worked her way back to the leader, Beagle would bring out the caution, in which Jessop was also forced to pull in placing Savanan Uhl in the lead with Chase Settles in second. Making a pass for the lead it was Settles picking up the win with Destinie Bates picking up second, Savanna Uhl third, Caiden Black fourth, and Justin Jessop fifth.

The Novice Mini Stocks were the next division to see the track with a 4-car field. Sitting on the pole for the feature was Blake Morris with Samantha St. John outside. However, a caution with only one lap in would force Lee pit side with radiator issues, placing Dave Hornikel out front for the restart. With racing back under way, Ty Myers worked his way back up through the field battling Hornikel lap after lap for the lead. However, Hornikel who was able to maintain his top spot and pick up the feature win. Rounding out the top five was Vic Hottinger, Rick Mardis, and Todd Brennen.

As Robin Duston brought the field to the green, it was “Stormin” Norman who would jump out to the lead on the highside and that is where he would remain, working his way through lap traffic and going on to pick up back-to-back feature wins. Picking up second was Robin Duston, third went to Brandon Morrow, fourth went to Rory Reed, and fifth to Denny Benjamin.

The Bugs-R-Gone Trucks had a field of 12 with John Large and Cole Lillibridge picking up each of the heat race wins and setting the front row for the night’s feature event. Finishing third was Tom Garlic, fourth was Jerry Gardner, and fifth was Joey Heyder.
