FREMONT, Ohio – Race fans throughout Northwest Ohio have been waiting anxiously for the 64th season opener at Fremont Speedway. They won’t have to wait as long as originally planned. The Track That Action Built has moved the gate and race times ahead for the 2014 season opener on April 12. Gates will open Saturday at 2 p.m. with racing under way at 5 p.m. “We don’t want our fans to have to be out in the chilly night air for this time of the year so we moved our start times up. This way the fans will get to see awesome racing and hopefully be on their way home by 8 or 9,” said Rich Farmer, Fremont Speedway Promoter. JRC Transportation Night will featuring the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 sprints, Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints and the AAA Ohio Auto Club Dirt Trucks. And, as it will be every week, there’s going to be something special for the fans. Fans can come into the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame and register on a computer to participate in the 2014 Fantasy League. Fans will pick who they think each week’s 410 sprint feature winner will be and they will accumulate points based on how their pick finishes. You have to be present each week to make your pick and the top five in points will be honored at the track’s end-of-the-year banquet. So mark it on your calendar, enter it in your phone, post it on your Facebook and Twitter feeds – gates open Saturday, April 12th at 2 p.m. with racing starting at 5 p.m. Go to www.fremontohspeedway.com for more information.
