Dog Hollow & Marion Center Double Header Up Next For ULMS

The Zimmers Service Center ULMS Late Model Series will be back in action this coming weekend with a double header with nearby tracks of Dog Hollow Speedway and Marion Center Raceway for a pair of $3500 to win events.

Friday nights Dog Hollow Speedway event is the make up event from July 1st with an increased purse as the event will pay $500 to start. Friday night will be the eighth ULMS event at Dog Hollow with former four time series champion, Max Blair having two wins along with Kyle Hardy who won this past weekend at Hagerstown having two ULMS wins and solo series wins for Michael Lake, Alex Ferree and Sammy Stile.

Current ULMS point leader, Jared Miley will lead the ULMS contingent into the Dog Pound Friday night with the track faithful stars of Joe Petyak, Jon Lee, John Weaver, Dave Blazavich, Clinton Hersch and Denny Fenton expected to be on hand. Expected to join Miley are four time series winner in 2022, Gregg Satterlee, Dave Stamm , Danny Snyder, Dylan Yoder and Deshawn Gingerich are all expected to be on hand along with other regional stars of Alex Ferree, Matt Lux and several others will be on hand.

Pit Gates open at 5pm Friday night at Dog Hollow. Adult admission is $25 with pit passes being $40. Drivers Meeting begins at 6:30PM with Integra Shock Hot Lap Qualifying beginning after 7pm.

On Saturday, the series will head up the road about 20 miles to Marion Center Raceway for the second time in the month of July. The 30 lap event will pay $3500 to win and $350 to start at the 1/3 mile oval. This will be the fourth ULMS series event at Marion Center will Max Blair winning the first two events and Alex Ferree grabbing the win on July 2nd after a late race pass on track point leader Jon Lee.

Mahaffrey, Pennsylvania driver Jon Lee has been red hot at Marion Center this year and he will no doubt be looking for his first ever ULMS win at his home track and improve a little better from the event a few weeks ago where Ferree won. Marion Center locals expected to be on hand to turn back the challenges of the ULMS and other regional stars are Saturday night’s winner, Matt Lux, John Weaver, Levi Yetter, Del Rougeux, Michael Lake and Alex Ferree. Drivers Meeting will be at 6:30pm on Saturday with Integra Shocks Hot laps qualifying beginning at 7pm.


ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place for both events which will include include Integra Shocks hot lap qualifying, 8 lap minimum qualifying heat events, consolation events and 30 lap main event Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. No more than 5 cars will hot lap qualify at a time. The Jay’s Auto Wrecking Redraw will see someone get awarded the $100 Jay’s Auto Wrecking Unlucky Dog award for redrawing the worst pill. The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners.
