John Brooks Wins Second Consecutive Enduro At Oakshade

John Brooks marched his way to another 200-lap Enduro win on Thursday afternoon at Oakshade Raceway which was his second in the three events run so far this year.

Ronnie Bloomfield Jr. took the early lead and led much of the first part of the race, but Brooks would take command of the race by lap 100. Bloomfield and Brooks remained in close competition at the front of the field until Bloomfield began to fall off the pace late in the race and eventually rolled to a stop less than 10 laps from the finish. Dan Dippman capitalized on Bloomfield’s misfortune and was able to finish second, just four laps behind Brooks despite cutting a tire down earlier in the race. Jeremy Grover finished third as Bloomfield slipped back to finish fourth. Nick Fenner ended up fifth after completing 190 laps.

Oakshade Raceway will host the rescheduled Night of Wheels in conjunction with Memorial Night on Saturday, July 6. A full program of Late Models, Sportsmen, Bombers, Hornets and Sport Compacts will also feature numerous kid’s bicycle giveaways at intermission. Gates will open at 4pm with racing at 7pm.
