Late Model Preview
The racing is sure to be nothing short of incredible on Friday with $6,000 on the line. Every single Late Model race this season has produced incredible action with tight battles for the lead each race. We have had 6 different winners in 7 Late Model races and lead changes in all but two of the races. Two of those seven races have featured last lap passes.
It will be very interesting to see who will grab the $6,000 feature win on Friday. Jackie Boggs is riding momentum with two wins in a row and is a past champion of the race. Points leader R. J. Conley has one win on the season and has been in the mix every week, he will be tough as well. Jason Montgomery has one feature win on the season and finished second in the $3,000 to win Southern Showdown. Will one of the out of town drivers come in and take the feature win?
Track officials have made this race attractive to Late Model race teams on any budget. While the race boasts a strong A-Main purse of $6,000 to win and $300 to start, drivers who start the B-Main but do not transfer into the A-Main will earn $100. There are no additional entry fees to race teams except for the $32 pit passes.
The race will be ran under an open tire rule but tires will be checked for chemical alterations. A hot pit will be utilized in the feature only to change flat tires only.
