Conneaut, OH, (June 25, 2013): Raceway 7 finally got the 2013 racing season back in order last week and will feature the tracks 2nd year division, the McDonalds Meat Economods with a $500 to win special. The Economods were a new division for 2012 and the class struggled with small fields most of the season and was dominated by the first-year track champion. This season fields are good with 21 drivers gathering points so far in the season and former Street Stock driver Russ Kapalin leading the standings by 22 markers over Chuck Steinle Sr, a long-time veteran of Raceway 7, with a career going back over 40 years. Another 26 points back is our youngest-ever winner, Casey Bowers, a winner in 2012 at the tender age of thirteen! Bowers was also the Cavalcade of Auto Racing’s 2012 Western Pennsylvania Rookie of the year. Bowers is the only driver in the top three to score a feature win this season thus far. Autograph Night, always a fan favorite, will allow fans to go to the racing surface and meet their favorite drivers for autographs.

The Evergreen Lake Park Campground FASTRAK Late Models had a first-time Northeast Tour winner last week in the person of newlywed Dave Airgood. Chad Wright on the strength of two feature wins leads the standings over former champion Dennis Lunger by 27 points and another 31 points back to third running Jamie Brown. Lunger has one win this season but Brown is winless thus far.

Mike Potosky has a slim 7 point margin over 2012 champion Joel Watson for the Bonnell Collision Center E-Mod points chase. Watson, in turn, maintains a cushion of another 28 points on 2009 track champion Percy McDonald. Watson is the only driver in the top three who has visited Victory Lane in 2013. Watson has two checkered this season.

The Western Reserve Animal Clinic Street Stocks is being paced by former champion Ed Bolyard with a 37 point edge over Chris Withers, another former champion. Third, 38-points from second, is Eric Reinwald, winner of his first-ever feature last Friday night. All three front runners have a feature win this season.

Specialty Products Mini Stocks are being pace by Brad Cole, winner May 31 this season. Cole has a 27 point lead over rookie contender Dale Fraschetti, winless so far, and Jason Easler, seven points back of second. Easler has one win this season.

Weather permitting, gates open every Friday at 5:30 PM with pill draw cut off at 7 PM and racing at 7:30 PM. VIP suites are available for rental for $250 a night which includes eight general admissions passes. Admission is set for $13 for adults for this special event, kids 7-14 are $5. Children 6 and under are free. Pit passes are $25. For more information please visit www.raceway7.com or call the track on race day after 12 noon at 440-594-2222.
