$8,500 To Win Billy Winn Classic At Bedford Highlights ULMS Weekend
2 min readThe Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series South Region returns to action this weekend beginning with the 50 lap Billy Winn Classic paying $8500 to win followed by a $3000 to win event at The Greater Cumberland Raceway.
This will be the first visit of the 2021 season for the ULMS Late Model Series to Bedford Speedway. Past ULMS winners at Bedford Speedway have been Rick Eckert, Matt Sponaugle and Mason Zeigler. The 50 lap event has a $35,000 purse that has the tenth place starter receiving a cool grand and last place paying $600 to start.
Expected entrants to be on hand are current South Region and National ULMS point leader, Max Blair, Dylan Yoder, three time 2021 series winner Gregg Satterlee, Jeff Rine, Jason Covert, Andy Haus, ULMS North Region point leader Mike Norris, Gary Stuhler, Damien Bidwell, along with Chew on This Jerky Rookie of Year Ryan Scott, Deshawn Gingerich, Austin Berry, David Stamm and Shaun Jones and msny others.
Gates open at 5pm on Friday night with ULMS Registration closing down at 6:30PM and ULMS Driver Meeting at 6:40PM. Hot laps begin at 7PM followed by Integra Shock Qualifying. Grandstand admission is $25, kids 12 and under are free and all pit passes are $38. Bedford Speedway uses the Mylaps Transponder for all scoring and timing.
The very next day, The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series head across the Maryland oval last October over Trevor Feathers and Max Blair. A new surface will greet the teams for Saturday’s event. Last years October event saw 22 entries at Todd Brode’s facility.
Cosner will be looking to repeat but Blair and Satterlee will be tough to beat as they have won all 4 ULMS South Region events. Who can stop Satterlee and Blair?
All gates open at 430PM with grandstand admission being $15 and ages 12 and under free. Pit Passes are $35 and kids and under are $15. ULMS Registration closes at 545PM and ULMS Driver Meeting being held at 6PM. Hot laps begin at 6pm followed by Integra Shock Qualifying at 7PM. The Greater Cumberland Raceway uses the yellow Westhold Transponder for all scoring and timing. Race fans who are unable attend can watch the action via live streaming with The Cushion (www.thecushion.net).
