SOMERSET, PA (June 3, 2013) – After a long break between races the Bilstein Modified Lite STARS (Mid-Atlantic Region) will be kicking off a big weekend starting this Friday at the high banked 3/8 mile clay oval at Beckley Motorsports Park. Friday night’s event will pay top dollars to the STARS drivers with $1000 to win, and $125 to start, for the 25 lap feature. Bill Bauer STARS President of Racing Operations stated Monday that “the STARS drivers are very excited about heading back to Beckley.” He added, “Beckley Motorsports Park is one of the most exciting dirt tracks in the country and this is the most anticipated event on our schedule. Promoters and track owners Joe & Billie Jackson run a class A operation, paying one of our highest purses in 2013, nearly $10,000.” In addition to the normal pits pass, there will be only a $25 registration fee for the regional points fund along with a temporary STARS membership of $15, or annual member ship for $25, Bauer stated.

On Saturday night, the WV Mountaineer Madness will be heading west to Ripley, WV for stop #2 at I-77 Raceway Park which will host another big night for the Mod Lite STARS, with the 25 lap feature paying $1000 to win and $100 to start. “We’re always excited when the Mod Lite STARS head to a new facility like I-77. The series puts on a great show for the fans and our local and regional racers always enjoy battling against the series stars as they try to defend their home track. This weekend is shaping up to be a great show and we look forward to seeing all the great fans at Beckley and I-77,” stated Bill Bauer.
