Joining the Super Late Models will be the Bonnell’s Collision Service E-Mods, racing for $2000 to win, 30-lap feature; the Bonnell’s Auto Group Economods with a 20-lap, $750 winner’s purse; and the Sunnyside Farm Transit Mini Stocks, racing for a $350 winner’s purse over a 15-lap distance.
Sponsors for this special event include E-Mod sponsors Rick Pratschler’s HBR Trucks and Angie Brown’s HBB Graphics, both in McKean, PA. Marc Hoegerl Racing, Amsoil by Bonnie and Gary Neubauer, and Memories Made by Lakewood made the Super Late Model appearance possible.
Last year’s edition of this event saw Wooster, OH’s Doug Drown take home the winner’s purse with the accompanying support features going to Joel Watson (Bonnell’s Collision Center E-Mods), Eric Reinwald (Bonnell’s Auto Sales Economods, and John Zeleznick (Sunnyside Farm Transit Mini Stocks). Max Blair was the 2017 winner of the event. Dave Hess Jr has also scored a win in the special event. Chub Frank, Max Blair, and Dave Hess Jr are all expected to contend for the win.
Eric Reinwald is expected to defend his win in the Bonnell’s Collision Center E-Mod finale along with 2019 points champion Mike Kinney, runner-up Casey Bowers, five-time 2019 winner Mike Potosky, former multi-time champion Joel Watson, 2018 champion Troy Johnson, and two-time former champion Gary Eicher.
Contenders for the Bonnell’s Auto Sales Economod win are expected to be 2019 champion Kyle Miller, runner-up and three-time feature winner Matt Alexander, 2019 winners Nate Young (twice), Dustin Demattia, and Jarrit Young. Eric Wilson, winner twice this season, and Jacob Eucker, winner on June 21, are possible contenders as well.
The Sunnyside Farm Transit Mini Stocks consistently had the highest car counts with the dominating drivers being former champion Dillon Speer with five wins and Mark Lawrence. However, Lawrence, also with five wind, claimed the points title by 160 points over rising star Jessica Harvey, who has yet to claim a feature victory. Speer, Lawrence, Harvey, June 28 winner Jim Haefke, former champion and two-time winner Joe Campbell, and opening night winner Pete Blaczak could all be in the hunt for the win.
