$7,555 To Win “Let It Ride 55” This Weekend

The event’s excitement continues to grow everyday in a large capacity as the confirmed entry list continues to build for the weekend ahead that includes the heavy hitting field of Renegade of Dirt Modifieds, as well as national UMP & AMRA talent from across the entire Eastern U.S. The weekend will mark the return of the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour to the “Bullring” for the first time this season, as they will spring back to life for the 2nd running of the Tyler County Speedway based ‘modified major’ event. The total weekend boasts a purse well over $45,000 and features several other great cash and contingency incentives for racers in attendance. The allure of the $7555 dollar top prize is gaining the attention of the entire modified world as the May 25th deadline approaches for the tour’s third stop on the “Back For More” 2013 season schedule. The tour will be racing along side the nation’s finest Super Late Model series, the World Of Outlaws during its two day stint in the ‘Mountain State’ this Memorial Weekend.
The “Let It Ride 55” event qualifier was also held on May 18th at the Tyler County Speedway that featured a guaranteed starting spot to the evenings winner. A stout field of over twenty, Two Brothers Motorsports EDGE Modifieds would take to the “Bullring” vying for the valuable automatic bid. A very spirited battle would ensue at the drop of the green between Bird Wilson, DJ Cline, Rick Aukland, Kenny Johnson, Jared Hawkins and Jesse Wisecarver as they sliced and diced in typical ‘bullring’ fashion, a small teaser of the action to come this weekend. Early leader Wilson would eventually succumb to a hard charging Wisecarver and Cline while Hawkins was continuing to blast around the top. When the checkered waved it was Zanesville, Ohio’s Jesse Wisecarver would go on to claim the win aboard Tom and Junior Nolan’s Two Brother Motorsports #62 entry holding off a nice run by DJ Cline, Jared Hawkins, Bird Wilson and Mark Dickson.

The 2013 “Let It Ride 55” will also be highlighted by an exhilarating format for both racers and fans that gather. Renegade Tour officials will be utilizing a group qualifying format for the weekend events if car counts exceed 40+, which is expected. Cars will qualify within their respective group with the groups fastest qualifier earning $55, and the fastest overall will earn the 2Brothers Motorsports $155 cash bonus. The groups will then each be split into two ten lap heat racers will they will lay it all on the line for a chance to start in the prestigious 55 lap $755 dollar guaranteed main event. Heat winners will then also redraw for starting spots in the $255 to win “DASH” that will determine feature lineup and will round out the RoDT activity on Saturday night. Racers who do not transfer through the heats will be entered into a series of B-Mains to be run on Sunday night. Any racer who is unable to make the “Let It Ride 55” A-Main will then either have earned a spot in the events 25 lap ModFury.com Non-Qualifier or will have a chance at one of two, randomly drawn “Wildcard” positions for the weekend’s Non-Qualifier Feature. Series and May 18th qualifier race provisional will round out the stellar fields for the weekend’s main events. A full weekend format and procedure breakdown will be available for racers upon registration as well it is reminded that there will be a $100 entry fee also due upon registering for the event.
Renegade of Dirt Tour officials are also excited to announce its great lineup of contingencies for participants this weekend that now features recently added Speedway Motors to the events sponsor list.
