After a 2 week hiatus, the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series is set to return to action in a big way. The Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway has hosted the tour sice its inception and always seems to produce great racing. One of the few TRUE half miles in the midwest, PPMS measures a half mile along the inside groove and is between 80 and 90 feet wide around the track.

In the 7 previous events held under the BOSS banner, 7 different drivers have graced victory lane. That list includes Andre Layfield, Jack Sodeman Jr, Tony Beaber, Kirk Jeffries, Kody Swanson, Dustin Smith and last year’s winner Mike Miller. Could we see and 8th different winner this weekend?

Bill Rose of Plainfield, Indiana will lead the BOSS touring stars into battle as the current points leader. Ty Tilton of Lima, Ohio holds a slim advantage over Matt Cooley of Greenville, Ohio for the runner-up spot. Joe Liguori of Tampa, Florida holds the fourth spot with Mike Miller of Wapakoneta, Ohio rounding out the top 5. Sixth through tenth include Paul Dues, Cody Gardner, Chad Wilson, Bob McMillin and Kory Crabtree. The balance of the top 15 is made up with Cole Ketcham, Steve Little, Buddy Lowther, Ted Hines and Lee Underwood.

Joining the BOSS traditional wingless sprints will be the RUSH crate late models and Pro Stocks who will both be running double features. The Hobby Stocks, Young Guns and Open Four’s will also be on the card.

Pit gates will officially open at 4 pm, with grandstands at 5. Hot laps will be at 6 pm with racing following at 7. Adult general admission is $20, with seniors at $19. Students between the ages of 13-16 are $10, kids 6-12 are $5 and kids 5 and under are free. Pit passes are $40 with children 5 and under allowed in the pits for $15.

This event will pay $1,500 to win and $300 to start for all teams with $325 to start for the top 15 in points going into the event. No mufflers are required at PPMS. As always, the tire rule is open and there is no weight rule or engine rule. Any and all full size sprint cars are welcome with BOSS and there are never any registration or entry fees with the last true outlaws.

If you or your friends and family can’t make it to the race, don’t forget, ETC Sports and the ISC Sports Network will once again offer a live Pay Per View broadcast of the entire event for $19.99. All of the racing action from every class will be featured live. Watch for the link to be posted on the BOSS website, Facebook and twitter on race day!

As always, BOSS thanks our many fine sponsors for helping make this tour possible!
