Connor Bobik Memorial Set This Sunday To Begin Month Of $$$ For ULMS

The 2017 Zimmer Service Center ULMS Racing Season is coming to its final month of racing this Sunday at Dog Hollow Speedway with the 7th annual Connor Bobik Memorial paying $4000 to win – 45 lap event! This will be the second time the ULMS series has sanctioned this very special event in memory of photographer Derek Bobik’s son who passed away from childhood cancer.

Leading the ULMS contingent will be Dave Hess Jr, who is the current point leader with three wins on the season and the defending champion. He will be joined by Greg Oakes, Breyton Santee, John Weaver, Jared Miley, Brady and Mike Wonderling are some of the ULMS stars expected on hand. They will be joined by the Dog Hollow stars of Dave Blazavich, Dwayne Taneyhill, Michael Lake, Shawn Claar, Dan Angelicchio and others.

ULMS race rules and procedures will be in place for this event. Hot Lap group qualifying will set the heat race lineups with the top qualifiers redrawing for the main event. ULMS tire rule is Hoosier 1300 and American Racer 44 compound or harder compound on all four corners. Red AMB Transponders will be used for qualifying and scoring. Rentals will be available at the ULMS command center upon registering and will be $20 if rental is needed. ULMS officials urge all teams to bring their transponder and/or their number to the ULMS registration table upon registering for the Connor Bobik Memorial. ULMS Entry fee is $30 for the Connor Bobik Memorial.

Pits Open at 3:00pm Sunday with grandstands open at 4:30pm. Pill Draw and registering cutoff at 5:30pm with Drivers Meeting at 5:40pm and Hot Laps at 5:45pm. ULMS group qualifying will be during hot laps. Racing Starts at 6:00pm Sunday night!
General Admission is $20, with Seniors 60 & older $18, Students 13 – 17 years of age $10, Kids 7 – 12 years of age – $8, kids 6 & under are always FREE. Pit Pass is $35 with Children’s Pit Pass (10 & Under) – $15.

After Sunday’s ULMS event at Dog Hollow, ULMS will visit Thunder Mountain Speedway on Friday Septmber 15th for the Eric Witherite $3000 to win event then the next night head north to the Empire state to Freedom Motorsports Park for a 30 lap $2500 to win event. The following weekend ULMS will head to Eriez Speedway for the annual September Sweep weekend, with the Dick Litz Memorial paying $4000 to win on Friday, September 22 and the weekend ends on Saturday, September 23rd with a $6000 September Sweep finale. The 2018 season concludes with the 3 day Fall Classic at McKean County Raceway in East Smethport, PA on Thursday September 28th thru the 30th. The Thursday, September 28th event will be a ULMS preliminary event paying $1500 to win, while Friday’s USMC Cpl Jason Dunham Memorial paying $3000 to win and Saturday’s season finale paying another $3000 to win for the 13th annual Stephanie Eckl Memorial.
