(Stewart, Ohio) After numerous attempts have been spoiled by Mother Nature, the Skyline Speedway in Stewart Ohio is set to welcome home the Jack Shutts Memorial this Friday August 11th. The event which was rained out once again on Friday August 4th, is now set to take place Friday August 11th and will once again coincide with the track’s Kids Summer Bash! Also as originally planned, this event will include racing in ALL regular classes, which is sure to give the whole family plenty of racing excitement! (Rain Date set for Sunday August 13th)

It’s now been over a month since the Skyline Speedway last held a racing event. Due to some scheduled off-weeks and multiple rain outs, the track is now ready to kick off their home stretch of the 2017 season and it will begin this Friday’s Jack Shutts Memorial. With standout talents such as Tyler Carpenter, Travis Dickson and James Dennis all leading their respective division’s point standings at Skyline, while also leading the AMRA’s National points standings, it is clear that the competition at the track has been as stout as any within the Ohio Valley region in 2017, and that is only expected to continue throughout the remainder of the season.

As noted above, Friday’s event will feature all regular classes and will serve not only as one of the final Friday night events of the season, but also as the final tune up before the track hosts one of it’s most notable events with the Ronnie & Sarah Bond Memorial on Saturday August 19th. The event which will pay $2,010 to win Late Models and $1,010 to win Modifieds is expected to draw some great fields of cars and this Friday’s race will be the last chance to do battle before this special event.

In addition to the on track activity, Friday’s event will include the above mentioned Kids Summer Bash which will include bicycle giveaways, backpack/school supply giveaways and of course the popular kids gold rush at intermission! Promoter Steve Curtis and staff look forward to the opportunity to give kids one last fun evening at the track before school starts back up in the area and hopes families will come out and enjoy the event!

Friday’s event will kick off with gates opening at 4 PM and the Mini Wedges taking to the track at 7:30 with Hot Laps to follow! General Admission remains at $12 (with kids 10 & under getting in free) and Pits will be set at $30!

REMINDER: If Friday’s event is rained out, it will take place on SUNDAY AUGUST 13TH!
