Ben Policz from Rices Landing and Kyle Lee from Mercersburg notched victories in the Twin 20 lap feature events for the Precise Racing Products RUSH Late Models at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday night. In the excitement of his first feature win of the season, Policz proposed to his girlfriend Kaylee in victory lane, who accepted. Other winners included Todd Weldon of Monongahela in the Sunoco Sportsman, Adam Ferree of Jefferson Hills in the Miley Truck Rental Hobby Stocks, Ben Anton of Jefferson Hills in the Imperial Heights Garage Young Guns, and April Tennant of Colliers, WV in the CruiseAmerica Open Fours.

The first Precise Racing Products RUSH Late Model 20 lap feature had Russ Matejka and Justin Lamb on top of the starting grid, with Lamb leading from the start. Fourth starting John Mollick moved to second and briefly challenged for the lead, but exited to the pits on lap 6. Kyle Lee took over second, but fell off the pace just before the only caution period of the race on lap 18, returning after a pit stop. The final restart was Lamb’s downfall, as both row 6 starters would pass him over the final two laps. The win would go to 12th starting Ben Policz, ahead of 11th starting Colton Flinner aboard a second Bill Kessler entry. The margin of victory was .369 seconds. Lamb would settle for third ahead of Chuck Medved and Clinton Hersh. Greg Beach, Jamie Wrightsman, Lee, Christian Schneider, and Bryan Hoffman filled the top ten. Heat race winners for the 22 car field were Logan Roberson, Mollick, and Lee.

The second 20 lap event inverted the top 12 from the first race, putting Bill Kessler and Josh Stoica on the front row. At the drop of the green, a turn one incident involving Colton Flinner and Pete Wearing forced a complete restart that eliminated both drivers. Kessler would lead lap one before a caution for debris. Kessler would also lead on the restart, before another yellow flag on lap 2 for Christian Schneider. Tenth starting Justin Lamb would pass Kessler to take the lead on the restart, with fifth starting Kyle Lee closing in to challenge. Lee passed Lamb on the inside of turn four to take the lead on lap 5. Lee pulled away in the lead over Lamb, as Kessler and Jamie Wrightsman battled for third at halfway. On lap 12, Levi Crowl brought out the red for a frightening crash in turn one. His car slipped up into the outside wall, then climbed the fence and came to a stop on top of the outside barrier. Crowl exited the car uninjured, and later posted footage of the incident on social media. A restart incident would then force Wrightsman and Greg Beach from the event. Lee controlled the restart, as 13th starting Daryl Charlier passed Lamb for second. Lee would dominate the remainder of the event, winning by 4.360 seconds over Charlier. Lamb would finish third in both races. Logan Roberson advanced from 17th starting spot to finish fourth, with Policz fifth. Kessler, Chuck Medved, Bryan Hoffman, Andy Spooner, and Wrightsman completed the top ten.

Danny Rich and Cam Kraisinger led the 15 lap Sunoco Sportsman main to green, as a turn one incident at the drop of the green for a spin by point leader Dave McManus collected Bill Slade and Mark Lee. Rich led on the second try for a start, before eighth starting Todd Weldon passed him for the top spot on lap 3. Bill Robertson moved up to challenge Weldon, sticking a nose inside him on lap 6. Weldon was able to stay in front as the two raced close for the lead, as a lap 13 debris caution in turn two set up a final restart. Weldon went on to win his second feature of the season, and second straight by 1.024 seconds over Robertson. Third was hotly contested on the final restart, with Ryan Moyer taking the spot over Kraisinger and A.J. Poljak. Heat winners were Rich and Weldon.

Adam Ferree earned his second Miley Truck Rental Hobby Stock feature of the season in the 12 lap main where only two of the five cars were running at the finish. Stephen Shelpman was the first to drop out, with mechanical issues on lap 1. Then heat race winner Karlee Kovacs slowed with an engine that did not sound good, pitting on lap 4. Casey Grumling exited to the pits a lap later leaving Adam Ferree leading Justin Shipley by six car lengths at halfway. Shipley would gain a car length every two laps, but ran out of time in finishing second.

Point leader Ben Anton notched his second feature win of the season in the 6 lap Imperial Heights Garage Young Gun feature. Kayla McManus stayed close but settled for second. Third went to Kyle Janas.

The CruiseAmerica Open Fours attracted a 23 car field, with Dale Rubright and John Gill on the front row for the 12 lap event. Gill would be eliminated in a first lap incident which forced a complete restart, and Rubright was involved in a lap 1 incident. April Tennant would lead the race from the start, getting to the front on lap 1 from seventh starting position. The race featured a good battle for the lead between her husband Bill, and Andy Garlinger. Garlinger nosed ahead at the line to lead lap 7 at the line, but April Tennant regained the top spot and took the win over Garlinger, Bill Tennant, Noah Swank, and Joe Campbell. Chris Knight, Aaron Karasack, Brian Noel, Jeremy Grubbs, and Justin Clark rounded out the top ten. Heat race winners were April Tennant, Bill Tennant, and Paul Koffler, III.
