Checkered Flag Waves for Mother Nature at Wayne County Speedway

Orrville, OH — The checkered flag is flying early this week, but not for the reasons race fans were hoping. Due to saturated grounds and a forecast calling for continued cold and wet conditions, Wayne County Speedway officials have made the tough decision to cancel this weekend’s racing program.

“Unfortunately, Mother Nature has claimed the win this time,” said WCS officials. “With the current state of the grounds and the unfavorable temperatures, it’s just not feasible to provide a safe and competitive racing environment for our drivers and fans.”

While the weather has thrown a curveball, excitement remains high for the rest of the 60th anniversary season at Wayne County Speedway.
