CRA Cabin Fever at Shadybowl Speedway Canceled Due to Unfavorable Forecast

[De Graff, OH] – [3-27-25] – The Champion Racing Association (CRA), Track Enterprises, and Shadybowl Speedway regret to announce the cancellation of the anticipated 2025 CRA Cabin Fever event due to an unfavorable weather forecast for the weekend. CRA Vore’s Late Model Sportsman, CRA Street Stocks, Modifieds, and the Vore’s Compact Tour Series were scheduled to race.
With the forecast being abysmal for race day Sunday, officials looked at the option of moving to Saturday afternoon/evening. Unfortunately, the late afternoon and evening forecast for Saturday also doesn’t look favorable and the area is also expected to receive rain on Friday, hurting chances for a completely dry surface Saturday.
“We understand the excitement and effort that goes into preparing for this event, and we share in the disappointment of our competitors and race fans,” said Adam Mackey, event organizer. “While canceling is never an easy choice, we think that the chances of us completing a successful show with the current forecast is slim.”
The CRA Cabin Fever event has been successfully held at Shadybowl Speedway since 2022, with the first three appearances at the track completed without weather issues. At this time, there are no plans for a rescheduled date.
The CRA Street Stocks season opener will now be held at Highland Rim Saturday, April 12 and the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman and Vore’s Compact Touring Series will now be at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, April 26. Shadybowl Speedway will open up for test and tune on Wednesday, April 2 and Saturday, April 5 with opening race night on Saturday, April 12.
