(Hartford, OH)…After dodging thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and early evening on Saturday, rain finally overspread Sharon Speedway around 7:30 p.m., which ultimately forced the “Lou Blaney Memorial” to be postponed to Saturday, September 21. The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply “410” Sprint Cars completed qualifying with Brandon Spithaler (13.858) and Zane DeVault (14.057) fastest in their respective flights and the Big-Block Modifieds were close to concluding warmups when rain began to fall. During the rain delay, 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Champion was interviewed by Mike Ackelson, took part in a q&a session, and signed autographs for the fans.

A complete new show for the 16th annual “Lou Blaney Memorial” will now take place on September 21 for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply “410” Sprint Cars, which will still compete for the $12,000 to-win/$1,200 to-start payoff and will be joined by the BRP Tour for the Big-Block Modifieds. Warm-ups will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by qualifying for the Sprints with racing action scheduled to begin at approximately 7:30.

All pit pass wristbands and general admission tickets from Saturday night will be good for September 21. All online advance tickets and camping site permits will be reissued. For ticketing questions, please contact the office at 330-772-5481.
