A monstrous month of May awaits the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series as they travel to the Mountaineer and Keystone State!  Six events, topless racing, memorials, and the highly anticipated “Race of Region’s” event!  Approximately $150,000.00 in earnings will be distributed.

Beginning with the battle of the bullrings, the series travels south to West Virginia Friday May 3, 2024 to Ohio Valley Speedway and then to Tyler County Speedway Saturday May 4, 2024.  Both events will highlight the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series with topless racing!  The events have been coined as the “Topless 50”.  With identical purses, they will pay $5,000.00 to the victor and each run 50 lap main events!  Tyler County’s Speedway will host the “30th Annual Topless 50” this year as well as their 50th anniversary of racing at the famed “America’s Baddest Bullring”!

The following weekend the series will travel northbound on I-79 to Lernerville Speedway located in Sarver, PA on May 10, 2024 and then to Latrobe Speedway in Latrobe, PA on May 11, 2024.  Lernerville’s event will highlight the fourth annual “Willie & Conda McConnell” memorial.  Last year’s event saw its first repeat winner in Gregg Satterlee as he beat out the 38 other entries!  As always, son of “Willie & Conda McConnell”, John McConnell has continued his endeavors to promote and build sponsorships for the event.  With thousands of additional currency/product being distributed to the entries by their finishes.  Currently the event pay’s $4,500.00 to win and $500.00 to start!  Moving into Latrobe Speedway the following day, it will be highlighted by the “Dave Kittey Memorial”, Mr. Kittey a long time supported and worker at regional racetracks in the area.  The Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series is eager and appreciative of being allowed to promote the event!  Paying $4,000.00 to win and $500.00 to start, the race should prove to be thrilling if compared to the series last visit to the speedway in 2023!

Closing the month out, the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series travels back to West Virginia for what could potentially be the largest weekend that it has seen regionally in nearly ten years!  The return of Pennsboro Speedway in what is being called the “Race Of Regions” event has been extremely talked about and highlighted by many teams and fans throughout.  Currently taking place May 25-27, 2024 there are still many things needed done to have the speedway race ready.  XR Events and those involved at Pennsboro Speedway have fought weather and other obstacles slowing construction.  We hope they can have it ready and raceable when it comes time in late May.  With two full race nights, Sunday’s portion paying $7,500.00 to win / $750.00 to start and Monday’s $12,000.00 to win / $1,200.00 to start they will be one you won’t want to miss.  A great way to close out the month of May and Memorial Day weekend!

All of our Lindemuth Laser Etching Elite Driver’s are eager to get their cars out of the stable after our five week hiatus.  The names of Tyler Emory, Ryan Montgomery, Logan Zarin, Dave Stamm, Dylan Fenton, Dylan Lewis, Michael Lake, and Colton Flinner are some of the regions largest up and coming stars.  Traveling the region to new tracks, seeing new racers and competing at a top level.  A few of them are already picking up wins thus far this year!  Moving into this weekend’s events, it would appear 2023 Champion Tyler Emory may just walk into the point lead once again as the current point leader Drake Troutman will not be in attendance as their team has committed to run the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series full time in 2024.  All eight teams are still in contention for the 2024 Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Championship!

Michael Lake leads the Chew on This – Jerky Rookie of the Year chase over contenders Colton Flinner, Dylan Fenton, & Dylan Lewis!  Lake has looked strong all year with podium finishes and an unsanctioned win at Marion Center.  Flinner still looking for his first win of the year, but has showed his #48 Longhorn Chassis is right on the verge of landing it!

The teams aren’t just racing for money this year either, the Lindemuth Laser Etching Elite Driver Program has given these teams the opportunity to save on registrations, passes, receive tires and more!  Now the highest placing point finisher on Integra Racing Shocks will receive a shock package valued up to $5,000.00!  The top three teams on Rocket Chassis will receive an additional $500.00, champions receive Velocita-USA team race suits and more.  Be sure to keep up with the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series on all of our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) by using @ulmsracing.
