Excitement Builds As Tyler County Speedway Prepares For Epic Season Opener
2 min read(Middlebourne, WV) Get ready for an exhilarating start to the racing season as Tyler County Speedway gears up to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a spectacular kickoff event this Saturday night, April 13th. Despite a couple of weather setbacks, the Hometown Racing Association is all set to launch the highly anticipated 2024 season with a bang.
Highlighting the evening will be the thrilling $4,000-to-win kickoff race for the renowned RUSH Late Model Touring Series, drawing in a stellar lineup of drivers from across 7-8 states. Fans can expect top-tier action in all their favorite divisions, including the adrenaline-fueled Stutler Motorsports Super Late Models, the lightning-fast Jenkins Auto Parts UMP Modifieds, Middlebourne Galaxy Food Center Sportmods, Sigler Fabrication Hotmods, SCDRA 4 Cylinders and Pathway Real Estate Professional MWRA Mini Wedges.
Gates will open early at 3 pm to kick off the festivities, with the action commencing at 4:30 pm with the Mini Wedges, followed by hotlaps and qualifications at 6 pm. Tickets are available online at www.tylercountyspeedwayonline.com or at the gate, priced at $20 for general admission, with complimentary entry for children aged 10 and under. Pit Passes are available for $35, with free entry for children aged 5 and under.
Ahead of the big night, Tuesday saw some seventy eager competitors taking to the track for a shakedown, offering a preview of the excitement to come. From the youngest Mini Wedge drivers to the thundering Late Models, there was no shortage of speed and adrenaline as everyone geared up for first green flag of the new season.
