$10,000 To Win Strebutzel Memorial Up Next At Latrobe
2 min readLatrobe, PA (May 31, 2023) The biggest race in the history of Latrobe Speedway takes place on Saturday, June 3.
The Jesse Sterbutzel Memorial Race is a 40-lap feature for the Crate Late Models, paying $10,000 to win, and presented by Howard Concrete Pumping Incorporated with secondary support from MAG Trucking.

Returning to Latrobe Speedway for the first time since the early 2000s will be the former Latrobe Speedway Super Late Track Champion Doug Horton with Bobby Lake in the No. 27 BLM Longhorn Crate Late Model.
Longtime friends of Jesse Sterbutzel, Lake, and Horton consider this race a fitting tribute to a great friend and racer.
2022 Fall Fest Night #2 Frazee Memorial winner Kyle Lukon will return to Latrobe Speedway for his first visit of 2023. Several teams, including Dan Angelicchio, Braeden Dillinger, and Bobby Lake Motorsports, will race a Crate and Super Late Model at the Jesse Sterbutzel Memorial Race.
Along with the Crate Late Models will be the Super Late Models, paying $2,500 to win, and the Joe’s Body Shop & Towing Pure Stocks, paying $1,000 to win.
Qualifying for the Crate Late Models will be at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Super Late Models.
Brad Hibbard from Race 1 will provide Tech Inspection for the Crate Late Models.
The Red, My Laps Transponders will be utilized.
Saturday, July 1, will be the makeup date in the event of a cancellation.
PIT gates open at 3 p.m., with General Admission Grandstands at 5 p.m. and Racing at 7 p.m.

Grandstand Admission: Adult:$20 & Kids:$12
