3rd Annual Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Cabin Fever Bash Is On
2 min readONA, WV-The 3rd Annual Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Cabin Fever Bash set for this Friday and Saturday April 29th-30th is still on with all 9 Ona Speedway classes. The Midwest Modifieds Tour has made the tough decision to postpone their portion of the show to a later date due to the weather forecast.
Ona Speedway fully supports the decision of the Midwest Modifieds Tour as they have teams coming from as far as Michigan. The series had to make the decision this evening as many teams were heading out tomorrow morning and would not be able to cancel hotel rooms if the decision was made a day later. With fuel prices as high as they are, traveling series are put in a position where they can’t risk teams driving hours and spending hundreds in diesel fuel for a possible rainout.
The racing card for the entire event this weekend will remain the same except Ona’s McCam Builders Modifieds will replace the Midwest Modifieds Tour on Saturday for a regular 30 lap show. The weekend will start with open practice tomorrow, Thursday, April 28th from 5:00 pm until dusk (pit passes only $5, cost to practice a race car is $20).
Friday’s exciting racing card will feature Bumper Pounding Street Stocks, Greg Chandler Frame & Body Sport Mods, McCam Builders Classic Cars, and Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR’s. Times have been adjusted with pit gates opening at 3 pm, practice at 4 pm, qualifying at 5 pm, and racing at 7 pm. A full schedule will be posted shortly. General admission is only $10 (ages 15 and up), $5 (ages 11-14), and free (ages 10 and under). All access pit passes are only $30 (ages 15 and up), $15 (ages 11-14), and free (ages 10 and under).
Saturday’s exciting racing card will feature Keaton’s Collision Center Late Models, McCam Builders Modifieds, Southern Ohio Speed INEX Legends Car Pro, Geer Brother’s Body Shop INEX Legends Car Semi Pro, and Snap Lawn & Handyman Service Crazy Compacts. Gate opening and practice times will also be adjusted with racing still set for 6:00 pm. Admission prices have been lowered with general admission only $10 (ages 15 and up), $5 (ages 11-14), and free (ages 10 and under). All access pit passes are only $30 (ages 15 and up), $15 (ages 11-14), and free (ages 10 and under).
Ona Speedway officials are continuing to watch the weather forecast this weekend. If there would be any change to the status of racing this weekend, that change will be announced tomorrow evening. For more information visit www.onaspeedway.com.
