Mother Nature graced the Mid-Ohio Valley area with a picturesque evening for racing Friday Night at Ohio Valley Speedway. A great crowd turned out for the return of the OVSCA Sprint Car Series and the Spring Sprint Car Spectacular. Picking up feature wins were Nathan Skaggs, Tyler Carpenter, Coleman Evans, Kendall Hodge, Jacob McDaniel, Bryson Long and Addison Tasker.

First up on the agenda was the OVSCA Sprint Car Series and 20 wicked winged warriors would show up with their sites set on the KMA Auto Victory Lane. A great race would see Nathan Skaggs come out on top holding off a hard charging Kory Crabtree to secure the win. Skaggs of Chillicothe, Ohio would parlay his talents around the ‘Valley’ by blistering the speedway’s top shelf enroute to his impressive victory aboard the Pleasant Valley Iron & Metal/ NST/ Beesley Excavating & Demo XXX chassis. Following Skaggs to the pay window was a very impressive Kory Crabtree, who would fight early trouble to rally from his 15th starting spot to the runner-up position. Behind Skaggs and Crabtree were Brandon Conkle, Chris Garnes and Bryan Knuckles.

A great Las Trancas Super Late Model main event would see Tyler Carpenter of Parkersburg take his ride to the KMA Auto Victory Lane for the first time at Ohio Valley Speedway this season. The talented driver of the sharp #28 Kryptonite machine would drive a flawless race in and around lap traffic to secure the popular victory. Following Carpenter across the line was brother Chris Carpenter in his maiden voyage in 2022, Corey Conley, defending track champion Ronnie Mayle and Zach Hill.

Coleman Evans of Mineral Wells, WV would look to pick up where he left off in 2021 with his first victory at the ‘Valley’ on the young season by snaring the feature win in the Polymer Services UMP Modified division. The driver of the Evans Construction machine and defending track champion would leave no doubt in a dominating win over Chad Roush, Kenny Johnson, KC Burdette, and Kyle Bond.

It was the ‘Flattop Flyer’ Kendall Hodge of Davisville going two for two in 22’ at Ohio Valley Speedway. The talented driver of the 91 hotrod would take the checked flag in the Pike Street Lanes Sportmod division over Brandon Patton, Levi Wright, Nic Green and Curt Reck.

In the Bill’s Auto Salvage SCDRA 4 Cylinder division it was Jacob McDaniel of Belpre, Ohio winning an early tussle with the c19 of Patrick Willbarger to grab his first win of the season at Ohio Valley Speedway. A great field would arrive at the Lubeck, WV oval in search of the 4 Cylinder A-Main but when the dust settled it was McDaniel heading to the KMA Auto Victory Lane. McDaniel pilots the McWilson Performance/ Welderman@MOVBT Cavalier and was followed across the line by Jacob Hughes, Patrick Willbarger, Dan Moss and Greg King.

In the Mike’s Auto Body WRA Mini Wedges it was Addison Tasker grabbing her first win of the season by besting Colin Knox and Cole Tasker. The Young Gun division would kick the evening off with Bryson Long going two for two on the season by holding off defending track champion Logan Perine and Easton Mayle. Special thanks to Jack Vaughn Livestock Trucking for sponsoring the WRA Mini Wedge trophies.

Be sure to join us next Friday Night, April 29th at Ohio Valley Speedway for one of the biggest events of the season as we present the ‘Topless 50’ for Super Late Models paying $5,000 to win.
