With today’s announcement by Thunder Mountain Speedway that lease holders Rob Leonard and Maria Pirazzi not returning to operate the Ramsaytown Road oval outside of Brookville, Pennsylvania in 2022 for personal reasons. The Zimmer’s Service Center United Late Model Series has moved their July 1st date that was originally scheduled at Thunder Mountain to Dog Hollow Speedway to kick off the Independence Day weekend.

“I want to wish Rob and Maria the best in their future endeavors post race track managing,”stated ULMS Series owner, Chris Zuver. Zuver continued, “Thunder Mountain was one of the tracks that has always supported ULMS over the years and especially during Rob and Maria’s tenure. Their support and friendship will always be one that I will cherish.”

Independence weekend will now start off at Dog Hollow Speedway with a 30 lap main event paying $3,500 minimum to win that will feature an approximate $16,500 purse for the ULMS Late Models. “When I got the call from Thunder Mountain, I immediately reached out to Mark McClelland of Dog Hollow to see if they would be interested in picking up the date and he was more that happy to add us. I am very grateful to Dog Hollow Speedway for adding us as it works perfectly with our Saturday date at Marion Center,” stated Zuver.

On Saturday July 2 the series will head from Dog Hollow to Marion Center Speedway some 20 miles away making a perfect back to back event with Marion Center for the $5000 to win Nathan Lauer Memorial with Eriez Speedway concluding the three day holiday weekend on Sunday July 3rd with the annual Mike Farr Memorial paying $4100 to win.
