ONA, WV-Ona Speedway officials have announced that the Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Mountaineer 100 will now be a one day super show on Saturday, November 6th. Rocky Top’s Pizza Street Stocks and Chandler Auto Performance Crazy Compacts will now join the racing card on November 6th while Greg Chandler Frame & Body Sport Mods and McCam Builders Classic Cars will be dropped from the weekend. This decision was made due to the logistics of having a complete night time race with cooler November temperatures and low car counts this past weekend in the Sport Mod and Classic Car classes. Sport Mods will still be able to enter in the Modified class on Saturday. This move will also help accommodate out of town Street Stock teams traveling in.

There will still be on track action on Friday, November 5th as it will become Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Mountaineer 100 Practice Day. The track will be open from 11:00 am until dark for open practice as teams get ready to race the following day. A large practice day turnout is expected. The cost to practice a race car on November 5th is only $20 while pit passes will only be $10. Pit gates will also be open on Thursday evening, November 4th for hauler parking for teams who want to get parked into the pit area early.

The Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Mountaineer 100 on Saturday, November 6th will feature an incredible racing card of McCam Builders Modifieds in the Mountaineer 100 for $2,000 to win, Keaton’s Collision Center Late Models racing 50 laps for $1,500 to win, Rocky Top’s Pizza Street Stocks-$800 to win, Contempo Trophy & Awards U Cars-$800 to win, Southern Ohio Speed INEX Legends Car Pro-$1,000 to win, Keaton’s Collision Center INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro-$600 to win, and Chandler Auto Performance Crazy Compacts-$300 to win. Saturday’s show will be broadcasted to a national audience on Speed51 TV. This can’t miss show could very well be the biggest Mountaineer 100 in history with many out of town teams coming as Ona is one of the only asphalt short tracks in the country racing that weekend.

With the move to the one day super show, ticket prices have been adjusted. Saturday’s general admission is $20 for ages 15 and up, $10 for ages 11-14, and FREE for ages 10 and under. All access pit passes are $40 for ages 15 and up, $20 for ages 11-14, and FREE for ages 10 and under. The new admission pricing will make it cheaper for fans to see the entire show compared to before where a 2 day general admission ticket was $25 and 2 day pit pass $65.
