Mountaineer 100 postponed to November 5th-6th
2 min readONA, WV-Due to the current tire shortage making it impossible to get the amount of tires needed by September 24-25, the Ona Speedway has made the decision to postpone the Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Mountaineer 100 to November 5th-6th. Pushing the event back to November will give American Racer the amount of time needed to supply the track with the amount of tires needed to put on this large event. Moving the race back to November also presents an opportunity for an enormous car count as nearly every asphalt short track within a 10 hour radius of the speedway won’t be racing that weekend. Complete details about the Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Mountaineer 100 will be released in the coming days.
The Ona Speedway will still be in action next weekend with the Fall Clash on Saturday, September 25th. This one day show will feature a complete racing program of McCam Builders Modifieds, Rocky Top’s Pizza Street Stocks, Contempo Trophy & Awards U Cars, Southern Ohio Speed INEX Legends Car Pro, Keaton’s Collision Center INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro, and Chandler Auto Performance Crazy Compacts. Pit gates will open at 1:00 pm with practice from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. General admission gates will open at 4:00 pm. Qualifying will be at 5:00 pm with racing at 6:00 pm. General admission is only $10 for ages 15 and up, $5 for ages 11-14, and free for ages 10 and under. All access pit passes are only $30 for ages 15 and up, $15 for ages 11-14, and free for ages 10 and under. There will be no Thursday practice. For more information visit www.onaspeedway.com.
