Blair Collects $2,500 At Thunder Mountain

Knox Dale- After over a month of Mother Nature putting a damper on Friday night racing in Knox Dale, Friday night action returned at Thunder Mountain Speedway with a Semi and Super Late Model special. First for the night were the Watt Logging Pure Stocks. Justin Watt showed his dominance as he went on to collect the feature win over Lester Hudson (24). DNS: Ron Majewsky (21M). Watt was the lone heat winner.
Next coming trackside were the Subway Of Clearfield Semi Late Models with Ed Connor and Doug Surra on the front row. Connor would jump out to the early lead as Jarid Ivory moved into second over Surra. A few laps later, a battle of the Ivory boys would start as Paul Ivory battled Jarid for third before a pile up in turn four brought out the caution. On the restart, Paul Ivory and Nate Smith battled for second as Doug Surra, who was involved in the pile up, moved his way back up to fifth over Bernie Whiteford Jr. Paul Ivory would go up in smoke loosing an engine once the yellow was out. Gabe Shaffer moved into third over Surra as Connor would go on to collect the $2,000 payday. Third for the evening were the Triple Nickel Distillery Super Late Models. The 111s made up the front row with Matt Lux and Max Blair bringing the field to the green. Blair would jump out to the lead as Jared Miley moved into second over Lux. Miley would get high in turn four causing him to hit the turn four wall to bring out the yellow. On the restart, Chris Hackett moved into second over Lux as Mike Wonderling, Bob Dorman, and Miley battled for fourth. Doug Eck put his shoe in the battle for fourth and moved into third over Hackett. Blair would go on to collect the $2,500 payday. Coming trackside next were the Legends Powersports Front Wheel Drive Four Cylinders. DJ Clark and Jeff Huber made up the front row coming to the green. Clark and the Huber boys would battle for the lead for numerous of laps before Clark pulled away from the field. Austin Fedder would work his way up to second over Cody Baughman before slowing and going out side. Clark was untouchable and went on to collect another Thunder Mountain victory. Clark was followed by 2) Joe Huber 8H 3) Cody Baughman 15M 4) Jeff Huber 42 5) Chad Greeley 27 6) Issac Irvin 14i 7) Tondra Brown 04 8:Gavin Webber 23W 9) Austin Fedder 777F 10) Greg Kiehl 13. Heat winners were DJ Clark and Jeff Huber.
Last for the evening were the Kinectic By Windstream Super6 Late Models. Levi Spinneweber was the hot shoe for the night being 8mph faster than the field taking the lead for all twenty laps. Mike Spinneweber, Rod Phillips, and Curtis Stivason put on a show for second before Phillips moved into the position over Spinneweber. Levi Spinneweber went on to collect the checkers for the first time in 2021. Spinneweber was followed by 2) Rod Phillips 1P 3) Mike Spinneweber V6 4) Curtis Stivason 36S 5) Mat Cajka 12 6) Ed Dunkel 34 7) Dennis Jerko 2J 8:Denny Philips 0 9) Jim Dillion 18.
