51st Annual ‘Hillbilly Hundred’ Advance Tickets & Reserve Seats On Sale Now

As race teams and race fans head toward the month of August, now is the time to begin making plans to attend the biggest motorsports event in the Mountain State, the Hillbilly 100.
Hall of Fame Promoter Carl Short and the Hometown Racing Association, promoters of the Tyler County Speedway, in conjunction with the Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series and Arizona Sport Shirts are excited to present the ‘Granddaddy’ of all Dirt Late Model major events, the 51st Hillbilly Hundred this Labor Day Weekend. The 51st edition of America’s oldest dirt late model major event will see a winners share of $30,000 up for grabs.
A match made in ‘Hillbilly Heaven’ as the tradition laden ‘Granddaddy’ of them all at one of the raciest joints in all of motorsports will welcome the best race fans in motorsports back to the Mountain State for another edition of Carl Short’s ‘Hillbilly’, Labor Day weekend, August 30th -September 1st.
The stars and cars of the nations premier traveling circuit the Lucas Oil Dirt Car Racing Series will return to the Tyler County Speedway with $30,000 dollars and a one-of-a-kind championship trophy going to the winner of the 51st Annual Hillbilly 100. Last years 50th edition would see Georgian, Brandon Overton wrestle the lead from hometown favorite Jared Hawkins on lap 75 enroute to his biggest career win and the $50,000 payday.
While the campground will be open all week long, the pit area will open for business on Thursday Night as eager teams race to secure their favorite pit spot. The action gets underway in earnest on Friday Night as the Tyler County Speedway will kick off the weekend highlighted by the always popular ‘Hillbilly 50’ Steel Block Late Model main paying $5,000 to win plus a guaranteed starting spot in the Hillbilly 100 always brings a stellar field of steel blocks to the ‘Bullring’. Prelims for the EDGE Hotmods, Sportmods, Modlites and Bullring Bombers along with open practice for Super Lates, FASTRAK Lates and UMP Modifieds will round out night #1.
The racing smorgasboard of speed will continue on Saturday Night, Aug. 31st as the eve of the Hillbilly 100 will showcase some of the sports best grassroot racers. Talk with any avid dirt track fan and they all admit that Saturday Night’s portion of the Hillbilly 100 is some of the best three wide racing seen anywhere. An incredible lineup featuring a final tune-up for the Super Late Models paying $5,000 to win in the rescheduled 31st Annual Earl Hill Memorial, along with the FASTRAK Late Models squaring off for $2,000 to win in the running of the ‘Brown Jug 30’. Likewise the UMP Modifieds will square off for $2,500 to win and title of winner in the ‘White Lightnin’ 30′. Plus feature events in the EDGE Hotmod ‘Lil’ Hilly 20′, Sportmod ‘Moonshiner 20’, Modlite ‘Sour Mash 20’ and Bullring Bomber ‘Ridge Runner 20’ will round out the Saturday Night action.
On Sunday September 1st, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will roll into town to headline the granddaddy of all Late Model major events paying $30,000 to win the ‘Hillbilly Hundred’. Plus the FASTRAK Late Models will be back in action for another $2,000 to win ‘Brown Jug 30’, and the Ohio Valley Roofers Legends Cars will be on hand in support of the massive event with the running of the ‘Billy Bob 20’.
