Regular 5 Star Racing At Raceway 7 This Friday
3 min readConneaut, OH (June 26, 2019) — As the 2019 racing season moves on Raceway 7 will present its seventh consecutive night of racing this Friday after losing the first two weeks of racing due to rain.
After an off week, the Evergreen Lake Park Campground RUSH Late Models will return to action this Friday. Defending champion Darrell Bossard scored his first Evergreen Lake Park Campground RUSH Late Model win of the season June 14. The veteran racer holds a commanding 34-point lead in the standings over Breyton Santee, the winner June 7. Two time former champion and winner May 24, Kyle Zimmerman, is third, another ten points back with Dave Airgood another 25 back in fourth. Yet another 25 ahead back is Bruce Hordusky Jr. Matt Latta, a two time winner, on opening night and May 31, is a single point behind Hordusky in sixth.
The Bonnell’s Collision Center E-Mods have competed all six weeks with two time champion and two time 2019 winner Gary Eicher leading young Casey Bowers by 24 points. Despite not yet going to Victory Lane in 2019, Bowers is a threat to win every week. Opening night winner Mike Kinney is currently third with Mike Potosky, winner in each of the last two weeks, fourth and defending champion Troy Johnson fifth. Johnson has yet to win in this season. Dennis Lunger got the win May 31.
Pat Fielding got the Campbell’s Mini Storage Street Stock feature win May 24 and backed it up with another June 7 to propel him to the points lead by 62 markers over Joe Stajnragh, still hunting his first Raceway 7 win. Another 43 points back is Darr Diegelman, also winless. Jamie Duncan, not yet a winner in 2019, is fourth, a solitary point behind third. Tony Spaghetti is fifth eleven behind Duncan. Veteran Paul Davis won last Friday, his first in several years. Davis is fourteenth in points. Wesley McCray got his first-ever Campbell’s Mini Storage feature win on opening night, then got his second only two weeks later, on May 31. McCray, an infrequent competitor, is ninth in the rundown.
Matt Alexander, although winless this season, leads the Bonnell’s Auto Sales Economods by ten points over a tie between Nate Young, who scored his first-ever feature win May 31, and Kyle Miller, the opening night winner. Dustin DeMattia and Mark Titus are tied for fourth, another 51 points back. Two time winner Eric Wilson is eighth, 134 points off the pace. Jacob Eucker, last week’s winner and his class Valedictorian, is 26th, having only raced that one night, when he scored his first Raceway 7 feature win.
Mark Lawrence got his fist-ever win May 24 and promptly got his second only two weeks later, June 7. He enjoys a 31 point lead over Dillon Speer, the defending champion and a three time winner this season. Jim Haefke, a former champion, is third, 56 points out of the lead. Emily Stoyer is fourth, 52 points behind Haefke, and Jessica Harvey is fifth, a mere two points behind Stoyer. Pete Blaczak, the opening night winner, is seventh, 119 behind the leader.

Raceway 7 is located six miles south of Interstate 90 on Route 7 in the town of Monroe Center, OH and races every Friday night May — September. Racing begins at 7:30 PM every Friday. General admission for regular events is $10 and children 7-14 admitted for $5 each. Kids 6 and under are always free. NO PETS are admitted to the track! Fan and pit gates open at 5:30 PM. Pit admission is $25 with minimum age 18. Children under 18 admitted with a “Minor Release” form available at pit gate that must be filled out by a parent accompanying the youth.
