Summit Racing Equipment Partnering To Reward Racers At MEGA 100, Entries Rolling In

(Middlebourne, WV) The richest modified event in the East is almost here! Just one more week to the day separates eager fans and teams from the pastures of “The Bullring” in Middlebourne, WV. The ¼ mile high banked oval will once again play host to the nations best modified teams at they set their sights on the $15,000 grand prize.

The three day event, May 30th – June 1st features the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour in conjunction with the nations largest weekly sanctioning body UMP DirtCar. The duo is proud to announce partnership with Summit Racing Equipment. As part of the partnership with Summit Racing Equipment the company will award all feature positions in Saturday nights “MEGA 100” and non-qualifier with a $40 gift certificate from Summit good for any products purchased at the motorsports retailer. Saturdays winner will receive $80 in gift certificates. In addition to the listed prizes many other contingencies will also be awarded to the evenings entries including at least five certificates from VP Race Fuels.

Dozens of entries are pouring in from teams as far as New York, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, and more. An eclectic group of the nations best UMP modifieds have their sights set on the Mountain State next weekend.

The 2018 winner, Jeff Mathews is among those who have already entered. “We have to come defend it” stated Mathews. “We had a great time last year. Its an super long haul for us but we are really look forward to getting back up there” added Mathews. “The track races well. Its wide and you can pass all over it. I am looking forward to next weekend” concluded Mathews.

North Carolina’s Kyle Strickler has stepped into a Wells Motorsports Late Model ride for remainder of 2019. However, the modified standout made the stipulation when inking the deal he was still going to run a few modified events and the MEGA 100 made the top of that short list. “We need this one to have won all of them at the Bullring” stated Strickler. “Its a race in our back door that pays a ton of money, you can’t pass up on something like that” he added. “We have so many great fans at Tyler County. I enjoy and get excited about coming there so we can put on a show for them all.” Strickler stated.

“Badass!” declared KC Burdette when asked to sum up the MEGA 100. The famous Parkersburg, WV native pre-entered this week in hopes to bettering a run that saw him come up just short of winning it all last year. Burdette led the first half of the event before fading just outside the top five at the checkered flag.

Paris, TN’s Lucas Lee made his inaugural trip last season. Lee drove his Brucebilt by Bloomquist to a runner up spot from 13th on Saturday night just slightly shy of the top spot on the last lap. “It pays a lot of money” and “Its exciting” exclaimed Lee when asked. Those words may sum it up best of all. Nearly $70,000 is up for grabs including over $20,000 in race winnings from six different feature events, two nightly. Three $1,500 to wins, two $1,000 to wins and the $15,000 to win finale awaits.
