The 5th running of the Dirt Modified “MEGA 100” kicks off your unofficial start to racing summer on Thursday May 30th until Saturday June 1st. Witness the warriors of open wheel battle for unprecedented payouts during the Easts Elite Grassroots Racing Vacation!

Help us welcome back the best modifieds in the business to America’s Baddest Bullring, Tyler County Speedway for the jaw dropping $15,000 payday on Saturday night. An unparalled Eastern weekend for grassroots racing guarantees all drivers a winner while race fans get to witness over two hundred race cars in attendance for their viewing pleasure.

The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour goes wild for over $70,000 in loot during its three complete days of racing action. Meanwhile, a first ever “B-Mod Battle Royale” looms. The richest B-Mod race in the area has local and regional Hotmod/Sport Mod standouts salivating for their share of over $20,000 in purse including the record shattering $5,000 dollars to win! The United Late Model Series of the Northeast also return to ‘The Bullring’ for a pair of main events. Friday the tour pays $3,000 to win while Saturday witnesses $5,000 up for grabs to the full fendered stock car division.

In 2018 it was Hollywood, Florida’s Jeff Mathews who made the long tow worth the while to score his biggest career win over dozens of the biggest names in UMP DirtCar Modified racing. Mathews once again sets his sights on Middlebourne in hopes to repeat at champion. Saturday, $15,000 to win Modified – 60 Lap Feature + $5,000 to win ULMS Late Models.

LOCATION:
Tyler County Speedway is located 3 miles south of Middlebourne, WV at the Tyler County Fairgrounds on State Route 18. A mere 18 miles east of the Ohio River and half way between Parkersburg in the south and Wheeling to the North. We are two hours from Pittsburgh, PA, three hours from Columbus, OH, and two hours from Charleston, WV.

Do NOT take Rt. 23. From the South the best route is I77 to WV 2 to RT. 18. From the North WV2 to WV180 to RT. 18. From the East the best route is I50 to RT. 18.

MOD RULES: PLEASE NOTE! The event will be sanctioned by the Renegades of Dirt in conjunction with UMP DirtCar. The event will be ran utilizing the UMP Dirtcar rules package featuring no spoilers for the event. In addition all drivers will be required to abide by the UMP modified tire rule. UMP DirtCar tire rule states that all four corners must be m30 or m60 with no grooving permitted. Siping is allowed. Tire samples WILL be taken by race officials. Safety Firebottles are NOT mandatory.

Racers are not required to be licensed members of UMP, RoDT, or any other organization. An event entry fee is required. The fee is $105 in advance or $150 at the gate.

EVENT FORMAT: Officials from the Renegades of Dirt will conduct the modified portion of the event. The Renegades of Dirt will award points and promote its racers and the event. As well handle all lineups and format procedures.

THURSDAY CONTENDERS RACE: Any car who has not won a Super Late Model or Modified feature event in the last twenty seasons is eligible. Hotmods & B-Mod wins do not count and are invited to compete. The event is pill draw. Contenders Race is 20 Laps and $1,000 to win!

THURSDAY SUNOCO SHOOUT: This race will be run utilizing the standardized Renegades of Dirt procedures including group qualifying, heat races, a redraw, and a 20 Lap Feature.

FRIDAY FORMAT: Cars will draw a pill to determine the ‘Blue / Gold’ groups. Qualifying will set up the evenings heat race positions. There will be four heat races per group, eight total. Heat races will be 8 laps. Top 5 will advance from each heat. Two B-Mains will be 8 laps. Three transfer (Spots 21-23), one RoDT provisional (Spot 24). Friday’s MEGA Prelim A-Mains will be 20 laps and pay the winner $1,500 dollars.

SATURDAY FORMAT: Cars will draw a pill for Group A or B qualifying. Qualifying will set up the evenings heat race positions. There will be four heat races per group, eight total. Heat races will be 8 laps. Top 2 will advance from each heat. The winner from each heat will redraw for feature position (Spots 1-8), second place from each heat will redraw (Spots 9-16). There will be four B-Mains. Two transfer from each (Spots 17-24). The B-Mains will be 8 laps. Two RoDT provisionals (Spot 25-26), one ‘Mega Qualifier’ provisional (Spot 27), one DirtCar UMP Weekly points provisional (Spot 28).
Saturdays “MEGA 100” Finale A-Main will be 60 laps and pay the winner a rich $15,000!
