Rain Washes Out Lucas Oil Late Model Event At Sharon

Hartford, OH April 12, 2019 The 90th anniversary season opener at Sharon Speedway will have to wait as heavy afternoon rain on Friday (April 12) forced the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and RUSH Sportsman Modified event to be cancelled. All pre-sale tickets will be refunded. This marked the third time in four tries that the April LOLMDS date has been rained out.
The next event at Sharon will be an open practice on Saturday, April 27. Racing resumes on Saturday, May 4 with the “Buckeye Cup” featuring the first of three appearances by Tony Stewart’s Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars along with the non-wing RUSH Sprint Cars. Tickets are on sale for this event.
Sharon Speedway is owned by the Blaney, Weller, and Kirila Families and is a 3/8-mile dirt track located on Custer-Orangeville Road in Hartford, Ohio near the intersection of Routes 7 & 305.
