Renegades of Dirt Let It Ride 55 To Kick Off Season

(Middlebourne, WV) Mother Nature played nice on Saturday and the Tyler County Speedway was able to swing the gates open for the first time in 2019. The Annual Test N’ Tune was first on the docket and over 90 cars would take to the newly revamped ‘Bullring’ in anticipation of another thrilling season. From Super Lates and Sprint Cars to Hotmods and Mini Wedges racers were eager to smash the loud pedal and brush off the wintry rust as another season has arrived upon us.

It was the first chance for fans and racers to get a look at the many improvements that the Tyler County Speedway has undergone this spring courtesy of DeepWell Energy Services. From brand new guardrail, to the new look infield and fresh red clay surface, the day was deemed a success as the drivers took to the track several times throughout the day tuning and tweaking in preparation of Saturdays lid lifter. Also on the Saturday agenda was some long awaited racing action. The wild and zany Enduro Series would take its first green flag laps of the season in exciting fashion. The Joe Dirt 100 would roll off with Sistersville, WV’s Junior Wade outlasting and besting a game James Swenskie, Ethan Cross, Tyler Spencer and Joseph Taylor to secure the win.

Coming up this Saturday Night, April 6th will be the 45th Annual Season Opener. America’s Baddest Bullring will open the 2019 in a big way as the popular 8th Annual Let It Ride 55 paying $3,555 to win will welcome the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour to the high banked ‘Bullring’. Always a great show as the regions premier UMP Modified racers will converge in hopes of capturing the iconic and coveted slot machine trophy. Past winners read like a who’s who in modified racing including Tyler Nicely, Rick Aukland, Nick Hoffman, Tanner Wilson, Jesse Wisecarver and Kyle Strickler.

A complete show of Super Lates, FASTRAK Late Models, EDGE Hotmods, Modlites, Bullring Bombers and MWRA Mini Wedges will also be on the stellar card. Note early season start times will be in effect with gates opening at 3:00pm, MWRA Mini Wedges at 5:00pm and hotlaps/qualifying getting underway at 6:00. General admission is $15 with children 10 and under free and pit pricing is $35.

ABOUT TYLER COUNTY SPEEDWAY – Built and opened in 1974 by the Tyler County Fair Association, Tyler County Speedway is a motorsports complex affectionately known as the ‘Bullring’ and features a ¼ mile high bank clay oval.
