ULMS 2019 Point Champion To Receive $10,000!
2 min readAs the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series gears up for our 19th season, we are excited to announce that our 2019 Champion will receive $10,000! This will be the highest paying amount to the series champion in the series 19 years.
ULMS Racing Series President, Chris Zuver stated, “We originally announced at our banquet last week we increased our point championship up to $7000. Since then, with cooperation of marketing partners, the champion’s portion has been increased to $10,000,” stated Zuver.
The drive for the $10,000 championship begins March 22 at Williams Grove Speedway as the series makes it first ever appearance to the central Pennsylvania half mile. Night two and three of the 2019 ULMS Central PA kickoff weekend will be at Port Royal Speedway, March 23rd and 24th with all three events paying $3000 each to win. The current 2019 schedule consists of 20 events at 12 different tracks in Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia.
Also in 2019, the ULMS Late Model Series will be offering the top 3 ULMS Elite point teams with full attendance two free pit passes and free entry fee at each event. To be eligible, the race team must be in the top five in points and have full attendance. The first three events, Max Blair, Mike Wonderling and Jason Dobson, based on their 2018 full attendance, will be the three eligible drivers to start off the program. The series looks to announce the continuation and additional information on the Elite program in the near future when finalized.
