Salem, IN (January 16, 2019) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials announced Friday at the 2018 CRA Awards Banquet that they have finalized a partnership deal to promote an event at Kil-Kare Raceway during the upcoming 2019 race season. The event is currently the only racing event scheduled at the unique oval track located just outside Xenia, Ohio.

The partnership includes Champion Racing Association, Steve Vore, owner of Vore’s Welding & Steel, and Rick Young, the Promoter at Shady Bowl Speedway. The event will be a one-day show on Sunday, August 4th. Racing that day will be the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman/Shady Bowl Late Model Challenge, the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks, the Vore’s Compact Touring Series and a Small Car Enduro, which have been very success in events ran at Shady Bowl Speedway during the 2018 season.

“We are really excited about this event at Kil-Kare Raceway,” remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner with CRA. “Dan Redmon and Steve Vore came to us with the idea of having a partnership to promote an event at Kil-Kare Raceway, a track that has hosted several CRA events in the past. We approached Rick Young at Shady Bowl, and he thought it was a great opportunity. Kil-Kare is a great facility and always puts on a great race, we look forward to bringing the CRA Late Model Sportsman and the CRA Street Stocks to Kil-Kare, it’s going to be a great event that race fans are not going to want to miss!”

The event fills the TBA that was on both the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman and Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks 2019 schedules. Both series will compete in a 75-lap feature event on Sunday, August 4th. More event information will be released in the upcoming months, including details on the CRA Late Model Sportsman/Shady Bowl Late Model Challenge.
