2019 Track Renovations Set For Spring At Mansfield
2 min read(Mansfield, OH) – Mansfield Motor Speedway is preparing for their 3rd season since taking the world class facility and 4/10 mile speedway back to dirt. The speedway is excited to confirm that several track renovations and improvements are now scheduled for the spring, as they prepare for the massive opening event in the COMP Cams Sprint Car World Championship on May 30th – June 1st.
In 2019, the speedway racing surface will go through a screening/sifting process before additional NEW dirt being added onto the racing surface as well. Campground areas and roadways will also see improvements in efforts to offer an even better experience for race fans at larger events.
“We have one of the nicest facilities in the country, some of the industries largest events and have had some of the best racing action a fan could ask for. That being said, we also know the surface needs some TLC and we don’t want that to be a concern for race teams or fans moving forward.” Said Mansfield Motor Speedway President, Cody Sommer.
Track renovations will begin in the spring when weather allows and with over 4 months ahead before the $100,000 to Win COMP Cams Sprint Car World Championship, there is certainly a nice window of time to complete the renovations and prepare for the 3 day opening event.
