Dog Hollow Tabbed For May, Forming Inaugural “PENNDEMONIUM 99“ Weekend
2 min read(Middlebourne, WV) – The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour is excited to announce it has officially tabbed a dancing partner for May in tandem with the already scheduled event at Bedford Speedway. With great excitement Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, PA will host its first ever visit by the Renegades of a Dirt on Saturday May 18th for a $2,000 to win modified special.
The race sets up one of the most highly anticipated weekends ever for the Modified division in the Keystone State. The Pennsylvania double header for the tour has been uniquely dubbed as the inaugural ”PENNDEMONIUM 99” as drivers will compete at the pair of tracks separated only by an hours driver up Interstate 99.
Race fans can expect a strong field of cars to be in attendance including Dirt Modified Hall of Famers Rich Michael Jr. and Mark Dickson. Additionally, a plethora of local and regional talent will invade to fend off the traveling stars.
“We are very pleased to be bringing in the Renegades for the awesome fans of dirt track racing and the modified division” stated Dan Savino. “The Renegades showcase some of the sports biggest names and we are excited to deliver that to our great race fans” added Savino. “We look forward to working with Bedford Speedway and area teams to create the regions biggest Modified weekend in 2019” concluded Savino.
In 1996, James (Jim) Michny began construction of a 4/10-mile clay dirt track 4 miles outside of Strongstown, PA. Two years later, Jim with the help of his brother John opened the track under the name Dog Hollow Speedway in the spring of 1998. Since the track has operated nearly continuous with current promoter Dan Savino taking over ownership of the facility in May 2014.
