Ohio Invitational Up Next At The Midvale Speedway

Look at all the greats that have captured the Ohio Invitational over the years!!
Baker, Good, Diano, Fike, Bickerstaff, Malcuit, NASCAR GREAT’S Pearson and Bonnett, Sibla, Rohrer……….who’s next??

The race hasnt been run since 1991, when it was won by John Cline……until this weekend!!

A 65 lap Outlaw Super Late Model event with $2500 to win….but most importantly…..
The title of….
“WINNER OF THE OHIO INVITATIONAL”!!!

Pit Gates will open at 11 (No Engines can fire until Noon), practice for all divisions will begin in a rotating orderstarting at 1:00.
Grandstand gates will open at 3:00.
Group qualifying for the Compacts and Street Stocks will begin at 5:00, followed by single car qualifying for the Modified’s and Outlaw Super Late Model’s.
Racing will take the GREEN FLAG AT 7:00!!
(The rain date is Mon Sept 3rd and times for that are TBD).
,br> Camping is available at NO CHARGE along the tree line of the main parking lot, next to the pit area. Camping is first come first serve, there are no water, electric or waste hookups. You need to police your own area as far as fires and trash.
,br> Practice will be Friday and Sat 4-8.

We will have our traditional Labor Day Weekend with Open Mod, Open SS and Open C to go along with The Ohio Invitational.

All divisions are non points races and they will compete on American Racer Tires (except Compacts). The rules are under the “Rules” tab on midvalespeedway.com, under “Open”.

Compact Rules have been tweeked: Home Track Rules! Any 4cylinder or 6cylinder front wheel drive cars. Manual transmissions are allowed for 6cyl. Any DOT street tire. No tread wear rule. ABSOLUTELY NO Falken Azenis or track type Tires. Other than that, abide by your home tracks rules. Home tracks are ONLY Midvale, Barberton, Painesville, Lorain and Sandusky.

The DLP COMMERCIAL MAINTENANCE Top Qualifier in each of the 4 Divisions will receive a bonus!!
,br> Outlaw Super Late Model’s – $100
Open Modified’s – $75
Open Street Stock’s – $50
Open Compact – $50

The Outlaw Super Late Model’s will be running a 65 lap Feature for $2500 to win.
Open Modified’s will be competing for $1500 to win in a 50 lap grind.
The Open Street Stock’s will race a 30 lapper for $800 to win.
The Open Compacts will take to the track for a 40 lap Feature for $1000 to win!!

Here is the complete breakdown of the purses:

Outlaw Super Late Model 65 – $2500 to win, $1500, $1000, $900, $800, $750, $700, $650, $600, $550, $500, $400, $300 on back.
Open Mod 50 – $1500, $900, $700, $600, $500, $400, $350, $300, $250, $225, $200 on back.
Open SS 30 – $800, $500, $400, $300, $250, $200, $150, $130, $120, $110, $100 on back.
Open C 40 – $1000, $500, $300, $200, $150, $100, $90, $80, $70, $60, $50, $40 on back
(We will run a “B” Main if there are enough cars)

Admission Prices:

Pits – $35 (no registration fee or parking fee’s, Midvale Cars that paid for their pit pads have their choice of their pads they paid for 1st)

Grandstands:
Adults – $18
Seniors – $15
Students 14-17 – $12
Kids 6-13 – $8
5 and Under are FREE!!
We run the yellow Westhold transponder’s, we ask that if you have 1 or can borrow 1, please bring it!! We have ones for rent but have a limited amount!!
