Big Block Modifieds Invade Raceway 7 This Week

Conneaut, OH (June 26, 2018) — Raceway 7 will continue the 2018 season this Friday with the Big Block Modifieds Tour for their third event of the season. Like most tracks and sanctions in 2018, the Mod Tour has seen more rain outs than races completed. Three rainouts with only two scheduled events completed. This two events were won by Erick Rudolph, the 2-time defending champion, and Mat Williamson. Michael Maresca is the current points leader over Dave Murdick, Rex King Jr, Jeremiah Shingledecker, and Brad Rapp.

In Raceway 7 regular classes defending champion Joe Campbell leads the Sunnyside Farm Transit Mini Stocks by eight points over Dillon Speer, winner on June 8. Jim Haefke Jr, the most recent feature winner, is another seven points back followed by former champion Brad Cole, another four markers back, and Zack Downes, winner the first two weeks of the season, fifth.

June 8 winner Paul Schreckengost and Mike Clark, not yet a winner in 2018, are tied at the top of the Campbell’s Mini Storage Street Stock standings, Pat Fielding, the opening night winner, former champion Chris Withers, and Jason Fosnaught fill out the top five. Schreckengost and Clark have a sixteen point advantage over Fielding.

Opening night winner Eric Reinwald holds an eleven point edge over defending champion Steve Haefke in the Bonnell Auto Sales E-Mod standings with Matt Alexander, Dustin Demattie, and Chuck Steinle Jr filling out the top five. Josh Ferry (May 25), Tyler Frankenberry (June 8), and Kyle Miller (June 15) also have scored wins this season.

Many time Bonnell’s Collision Center E-Mods standings show many-time champion Joel Watson again leading the way in the championship standings by 26 markers over Gary Eicher. Watson has dominated Victory Lane, scoring three wins in four attempts. Eicher, the defending class champion, picked up the win May 25. Troy Johnson, Percy McDonald, and Casey Bowers fill out the top five.

Two-time 2018 winner Darrell Bossard leads the way in the championship standings for the Evergreen Lake Park Campground RUSH Crate Late Models by a large 46-point margin over Breyton Santee, who’s record shows no wins this year, but top five finishes every week, including three thirds in a row. Another four points back is Dave Airgood, the winner June 15. Defending champion. Kyle Zimmerman is fourth, 52 markers behind Airgood with Chad Sines fifth, another six points back.

Raceway 7 is located six miles south of Interstate 90 on Route 7 in the town of Monroe Center, OH and races every Friday night May — September. Racing begins at 7:30 PM every Friday. General admission for regular events is $10 and children 7-14 admitted for $5 each. Kids 6 and under are always free. NO PETS are admitted to the track! Fan and pit gates open at 5:30 PM. Pit admission is $25 with minimum age 18. Children under 18 admitted with a “Minor Release” form available at pit gate that must be filled out by a parent accompanying the youth.
