Racing Returns To Mercer Raceway Park July 13-14

Mercer, PA (June 3, 2018)

The Mercer Raceway Park will come back to life for the Mercer Summer Nationals, Friday, July 13th and Saturday, July 14th! This is the only scheduled circle track racing event at the speedway this season as it is currently listed for sale. Bringing this event to reality is a trio of former racers and car owners that love Mercer Raceway Park and wanted to host an event for the dedicated fans and teams that have been a huge part of this tracks history.

On Friday, July 13th, Open Stocks will be racing along with 4 Cylinder Mini Stocks and 270 Micros. There will also be an open practice worked into the evening for cars of any division wishing to get some laps around the Mercer oval. Practice will also run after the event until 10:30PM. Camping is free and welcome to all for the entire weekend. No hookups are available.

On Saturday, July 14th, 410 Sprint Cars come back to town for a $3,500-to-win race with $300 payday just to start the feature event! Mod-Lites are also set to compete in the “Mark Marcucci Tribute” race for $888 to win! Open Stocks will find themselves racing on Saturday night as well for what is guaranteed to be an awesome two-day event. Super6 (mini) Late Models will also be on the Saturday card as an exhibition class.

The goal is to bring an action packed program together for the fans to come and enjoy. We anticipate high car counts in each division and will strive to run an efficient program to keep the excitement flowing all night long. We will have more announcements as they develop, however wanted to get the word out there that we are bringing this historic track back to life in 2018!

Concluding all of the racing action on Saturday, there will be a fireworks show you won’t want to miss!

Suites will be available for the weekend, along with parking spots close to the fence where fans can pull up close to the action with their vehicles. Pricing and reservations methods will be posted in the next few days.
