Memorial Weekend Doubleheader Up Next At The Tyler County Speedway
3 min readAfter a week off and another victory for Mother Nature the Hometown Racing Association will look to welcome back the best fans in all of Motorsports for a Memorial Weekend Doubleheader. The giant weekend will close out the Month of May at the Tyler County Speedway all the while serving as a preview for the 1st week of June’s Monster Mega 100 Weekend.
On Saturday, May 26th join us at America’s Baddest Bullring for a very special night of ‘Fast Family Fun’ in appreciation to the greatest fans in the Ohio Valley as all general admission tickets are on us. That’s right 100% FREE admission to the regions best weekly show, so bring your family, neighbors or neighbors family as it’s PACK THE TRACK 5 Night.
Race fans can pick up a ticket off of their favorite driver and help them earn the pole position. Tickets have been distributed to Tyler County Speedway drivers and the driver that gets the most returns in each class will receive the pole position in his/her class. The overall driver with the most returns will also win a 2018 season pit pass. Tickets will be on hand to vote for favorite driver at gate and tickets are not required to receive FREE admission on Pack the Track Night.
Not only will race fans be treated to a FREE Night of door to door racing action as the ‘Bullring’ presents the fan friendly extended lap ‘Feature only’ format of the Patriot 200 but it is also Family Autograph Night. Take the kids down on the track at intermission and meet the heroes of the ‘Bullring’ and get a picture and autograph with Tyler County Speedway’s finest.
A complete show of J&R Excavating Super Late Models presented by Midcap Land and Timber, 2 Brothers Motorsport AMRA Modifieds, Appalachian Mineral Title Company FASTRAK Late Models, Jenkins Auto Parts Modlites, Sigler Fabrication EDGE Hotmods presented by Poske Performance Parts, Sport Compacts, Gear 2 Graphics MWRA Mini Wedges and a return of the Street Stocks are also on the card. Gates open at 4, MWRA Mini Wedges kick off at 6:00 with hotlaps/qualifying getting underway at 6:45. General admission is FREE, with pit admission is priced at $30.
If night one wasn’t awesome enough be sure to head on back to the Bullring on Sunday Night, May 27th as the Tyler County Speedway presents the ‘Battle of the Bullring’. How much can we jam into the Battle of the Bullring? How about the $3,000 to win rescheduled 24th running of the Topless 50 for Super Lates! How about the return of the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour featuring the $1,500 to win 14th Annual Dickson Classic and the 8th Annual $800 to win Pat Herrick Memorial for Modlites. That’s not all as it’s also the Sport Compact $500 to win Full Throttle Series #2 plus racing in all other classes. Oh yeah it is also ‘Mega Qualifiers’ in all divisions as well as the regions best will have an opportunity to lock their way into the summers biggest event the following weekend during the Modified Mega 100. Gates open at 4 with MWRA getting started at 6 with hotlaps/ qualifying getting underway at 6:45. General admission is $18 with kids 10 and under free with pit passes priced at $35.
