Busy Month Of April On Tap At The Bullring
3 min readStruggling to get thru a rugged month of March and trying to shake old man winter, race fans will soon be donning their favorite racing tee’s, stocking the cooler and heading to the ‘Bullring’ for another summer of hardcore dirt track racing. The Hometown Racing Association, promoters of the Tyler County Speedway have a busy month of April in store as the 2018 season gets underway in earnest.
An early season track favorite event will kick start the month of April as the 30th Annual Earl Hill Memorial paying $5,000 to win for Super Late Models takes the green on April 7th. The 30th edition of the speedway classic will roll out the carpet to regional race teams as the co-sanctioned event will parlay the talents of drivers from both the Ultimate North East and the Ultimate Mid-Ohio Valley Super Late Model Series. An over $20,000 purse will be on the line as we pay homage to the best-ever to circle the ‘Bullring’, in the late Earl Hill. The renowned racer spiriting the handle bar moustache and vintage red polka dot cap will be looking down as the Tyler County Speedway honors his legacy once again.
Making the popular return to the ‘Bullring’ on Saturday Night, April 14th will be the ground pounding BRP Big Block Modified Tour. Always an awesome show as the Pennsylvania based series rolls into the Middlebourne ‘Bullring’ as the Modified Tour will kick off their 2018 season in the Mountain State. Previous winners of the BRP Modified Tour at Tyler County include Kevin Bolland, Brian Swartzlander, Rex King Jr, and last years winner Erick Rudolph who would go onto dominate the season and claim the 2017 Championship. An April 21st raindate is scheduled for the BRP Modified Tour.
